This is by far, one of the best museums we have ever been to!! I have a 10 year old and a 1 year old and they both had a great time! TONS of hands on activities for everyone in the family!

It has grown a lot over the years. I remember when it first opened about 60 years ago. If you are in Lawton and want to know more about the area and the Native Americans, stop here.

Not exactly the Smithsonian but a nice community museum with local flavor, including Oklahoma’s tornado history.

From the recreation of being in a cellar during a tornado to the all the exhibits from the earliest times to modern history this place is a must stop and see!!
