This was such a fun place to visit! Jeanna was so welcoming and answered all of our many questions about their beautiful alpacas. We were worried it wouldn't be as good of a visit because it rained for a bit. But we were lucky because the alpacas wanted to come into the barn out of the rain and we visited with all of them at once inside the barn. We were able to feed and pet them. You have to make an appointment, so plan ahead. I think that's a small ask considering it's a free tour. We purchased some beautiful alpaca products in their shop. It was really a fun time!

What a fun visit! My friends and I visited and received such a warm welcome and informative tour. Jeanna and Kathleen are wonderful, passionate and absolutely love these Alpacas. Besides just petting the Alpacas through a fence, we actually got to walk out in the field and be surrounded by them! They each have their own personality and it was so fun to learn about each of them. The tours are free, so stop in the gift shop to help support this family farm! What a special place this is!

I have always loved Llamas and Alpacas, all my friends and family can attest to that. So when I googled things to do in the area and this place popped up I screamed and my husband knew we were going. You do need to call for an appointment to visit and get a tour because it is an actual farm and is owned and operated by a husband and wife and one of their lovely neighbors. We called that morning and they were able to squeeze us in. It was so much fun. The female alpacas were out grazing and just out and about. We were greeted and started the tour. I learned a lot about these adorable animals and got to let them as well. It’s so neat to see. They have a cute souvenir shop that has all sorts of things made locally by the owner from the alpaca wool and some things made from her friends in Peru! We had such a wonderful time! I would recommend this to anyone at any age. There was a family there before us that had small children and an older couple as well. My husband and I are late 20s and we loved it.

Visited the Zena Suri Alpaca ranch with my wife and two daughters, and everybody had an enjoyable visit from start to finish. We were greeted by Tom and Kathleen as we arrived, and Kathleen then took the time to give our family a tour of the ranch. Kathleen is very knowledgeable and presents the details and answers questions in an educational but entertaining way. We were also able to meet many of the different alpacas, who are not only adorable but very friendly. We were able to scratch their necks as Kathleen explained details of many of the different alpacas, who each have their own name and personality. We were even able to feed some of the alpacas before leaving the barn/field.
And, as much as the kids and I enjoyed the alpacas, my wife loved the sheds with the wool and craft items. Highly recommend taking the time to view and even buy if you're a knitting/crocheting enthusiast. The alpaca yarn we bought was beautiful, and my wife is excited to start the next project to use some of it.
Highly recommend taking the time to visit if you're in the area. Also recommend making a reservation and getting driving directions, since GPS is not your friend in some of the Grand Lake areas.

I have such a good time when I have a good group touring. As you noticed, the alpacas and I just enjoy company. (Of course I talk a great deal more.) We are still waiting for two of the elusive crias. Please come back if you are ever in our area again.

We had a great time at Zeni Suri Alpacas! Three of the extra friendly alpacas, Melody, Rhapsody, and Carmel, came right over to us since they love to be petted. We spent a good amount of time in the pen petting these girls. They were gentle and sweet. Kathleen is an absolute sweetheart and shared a plethora of information with us. Her knowledge is extensive! We got a couple items in the gift shop and can't wait to put them to use. I highly recommend this place!

We love having visitors--the alpacas enjoy it as much as I do. Carmel, Melody, Rhapsody, and the others would love it if you sent a photo. Rhapsody was sad I didn't tale a photo of her. Come again as soon as you can.

We took a ride out to the Alpaca farm today and my wife I were pleasantly surprised! They have over 40 Alpacas that you can feed and pet. The tour is free and they have a cool gift shop. Definitely check it out!

We visited Zena Suri Alpacas just a few nights ago and enjoyed the entire experience. Kathleen and Tom greeted us as we pulled into their ranch and directed us to a nice flat parking space near their pool. The alpacas are not shy at all and they also immediately welcomed us by swarming around our RV. Tom and Kathleen then gave us a lovely tour of their ranch. We were introduced to many alpacas and Rhapsody quickly became our favorite as she loved to have her neck scratched and followed us around during our tour. You’re allowed to feed grain to the alpacas and are welcome to roam the ranch and explore the grassy hills.
There is a lovely shop where you can purchase all types of alpaca fleece products from sweaters and blankets to finger puppets and scarves. Something for everyone.
We hope to return again someday as this ranch had a little bit of magic and one visit just isn’t enough

Thank you so much for leaving your sweet message. Rhapsody is very pregnant at the moment but has maintained her sweet attitude. We hope to see both of you again and enjoy the Harvest Host program because everyone is so nice. We value all of our guests but we were especially sad when you left. Come back any time--please. Well worth the visit! Free tour of Alpaca farm by warm hostess. These Alpacas are well-loved, individually-named, and eagerly walk up to you with darling eyes. Ask about how Wriggly got his name. Gift shop. Absolutely loved it!

I was just out with the little boys--Iceman talking in my ear, Wrigley bragging about the Cubs, Blanco complaining that his mother keeps going out into the field with "the girls". So he sat with me and sniffed my shoe and told me about how he will be a famous herdsire some day. I listened and told him it was possible. The boys asked when the next visitors were coming. Soon I said and now we are waiting.

What is the cost of admission?

There is currently no admission charge. We rely on donations and purchases in our gift shop for our operating funds--paying for grain and any vet bills that may arise. As long as people are kind (and some enjoy their visit so much that they "pay it forward",) we will continue to maintain our no fee to visit policy. Our alpacas enjoy visitors as much as visitors enjoy them.
