Mainly want to leave a review over the cabin! We stayed with family in both a cabin and some in RVs. We were given the handicapped cabin! My mom who was with us is wheelchair bound and so we were so happy that this cabin is 100% wheel chair accessible! We have stayed many places that mention that it is wheelchair/handicapped accessible and it is in no way that but this cabin is perfect! She uses a wider wheelchair also and had plenty of room to enter and move around the cabin. She was able to move around as needed to use the restroom and shower(which is a roll in shower with a heavy duty bench seat). The sinks and bed was low enough for her to use and transfer into. They had perfect parking for your cabin and the ramp was built well! They had a picnic table and fire pit area that was perfect to sit out at. I highly recommend anyone who avoids traveling because of handicapped reasons to try a few days here! It is a very quiet and relaxing area!

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and drove around the lake looking for a best spot. We ended up in our tent with several RV's around. It was beautiful. The shower/bathrooms worked great. A full moon rose over the lake about mid-night and the inside of our tent was almost daylight-wow. Good to have those eye covers from Walmart so we could sleep.

The office was so helpful since some of our party to play disc golf. We were moved to the cedar campsite which we’re level, spacious and on concrete facing the water. Gorgeous sunset, moonrise and sunrise could be seen from our site. Disc golf was a par 3. Players had fun. Showers were clean and no longer required quarters. Laundry closed at 4:30.

We needed to stretch our legs as well as our 2 pups and decided to stop here. We went to the water near the marina and picked a spot with no one around. We let our pups off leash so they could chase a ball and they loved it. Nice area for camping but a bit chilly.

If you're visiting Foss State Park in Oklahoma, be sure to watch the bison feeding at the visitor center/park office, around 10 a.m. It's free and great fun.

We have visited a lot of State parks and this is clearly on e of the best. Foss Lake is a man made lake and has 58 miles of coastline with depths ranging from 24 ft up to 70 ft. Great area for fishing and boating. Unlike many parks - this one can easily handle big rigs. The water pressure is good. Only downside is that only about 10 sites have sewer hook-up. Surprising, we got good Digital TV reception from Oklahoma City stations. It is easy to see why this place stays booked full during summer months.
Note: don't forget to see the Buffalo by the ranger station

I have been camping in the USA for 14 weeks now and arrived at this nice campground and to find the washrooms facilities lacking in many regards. Upon going up to the modern building, discovered that the men's and women's washrooms were closed. A sign said use facilities on the east side of the building. That would be the one and only handicap washroom. Yup, one toilet for men and women in the campground. Then, when I went to have a shower, discovered that 3 of the 4 shower stalls were locked up. Yup, one shower plus the one in the handicapped washroom that has the only toilet. Now, the rooms specifically for showers is something else. The only bench in there gets soaking wet. That can not be helped due to the design. The entire floor gets soaking wet due to design. So now for the first time in 14 weeks I must pay to have a shower and all I get is cold water. Not luke warm, but cold. Haven't had one of those in 14 weeks either. Oh, did I mention the shower stall was full of spiders! Haven't seen one that bad in 14 weeks either. I would have cleaned it up myself but that would cost me money. So I shower as quick as I can while trying to control my breathing. Get wet pants when putting them back on from the floor. Can't sit on the bench because it is soaked. Exit shower stall and sit on the concrete outside to dry my feet in order to get my socks and shoes on. Not impressed. Otherwise, this looks like a nice campground. The rangers when I checked in were extremely nice and helpful. I'm not sure if they are aware of this situation but they will be informed when I check out in the morning.

Saturday morning 10 AM ... be behind the ranger station to hear the thunder of a herd of about 30 buffalo coming into eat a special meal. Seeing them running in, rounding the pond, eating, drinking and playing with each other is well worth adding this stop to everyone's agenda!

Spent two nights at the Cedar Point Campground, which is in close proximity to the marina area. You have a view of the lake from every pull thru space. Concrete pad, picnic table and grill area at each spot, along with electric and water. Lots of families here to enjoy swimming/boating activities, and a disc golf course, as well as some older folks enjoying the peace and quiet of fishing and the outdoors. Plenty of shade and space between each site, and the campground is very clean. Took a drive over to the Sandy Beach area located on the north side of the lake and to see the Cuthbert Campground. Sandy Beach is a great spot for children to swim and adults to relax. Cuthbert is a little more rustic and not many pull thru sites. Cottonwood Campground is located on the south side and not near the water, and is a great area for children to bike ride and provides lots of room to run. Total cost was $54 which included the $8 fee for booking online (although I did hear they would be raising the rates in August, and this would still be a bargain). We will definitely return here.

4 days at this campground was amazing. clean clear parking spot for your camper or motorhome. The marina is available for launching your boat or you can rent powerboats, canoes and kayaks. You can also rent small or large houseboats if you want to travel and sleep/party on the lake. Campground employees and some of the best we met on our 2000 mile rural road trip......its about 14 miles off 1-40 but well worth the drive.....
