We needed to stretch our legs as well as our 2 pups and decided to stop here. We went to the water near the marina and picked a spot with no one around. We let our pups off leash so they could chase a ball and they loved it. Nice area for camping but a bit chilly.

Camped at the park in October. The full hookup sites were pull thru and can accommodate the larger campers, but the sites are a bit narrow. We were there on weekdays and weekends. Weekdays site’s were pretty empty. Got full on weekend. Office staff extremely friendly and helpful. Gorgeous lake , fishing and marina there as well. Has trails for hiking.

The park isn't rundown or dirty, but it isn't a fantastic destination either. The trails were overrun with grass to the point we had to abandon our hike. The "beach" is just a bit of sand on the side of a muddy lake. The boat marina looked nicer than I would have expected, but I did not get the opportunity to use the facilities. Overall, if you live in the area, I imagine it is a fun attraction. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of your way to see this park.

While driving from coast to coast we stopped over night here. Great place to stay for one or more days. Easy in and out and great views. The rangers were great and it was well worth the stop.
