Hafer park is an outstanding park for anyone to visit. It has multiple playgrounds, a paved walking trail through an urban forest and a duck pond with covered deck extending over the pond. Used by the city for multiple events in the summer months.

Need a place close to home where the kids can run, play and generally wear themselves out before bed time? Here is a great place for that. Plus, a great place for you and them to get out into fresh air where one can relax, walk along quiet paths surrounded by trees, feed some ducks and geese, and just watch the squirreles play. Bring a sack lunch, a picnic dinner, your camera, and food for the ducks. It is close. It is free. It is worth the short drive.

During a recent stay in OKC, we visited Hafer Park in Edmond for a morning walk, finding this a pleasant place to take a stroll and spend time in a slightly wooded area next to large youth sports area.

In addition to some nice wooded walking area, we found a cute, but murky colored, little pond with an old pavilion on its shore. Lots of ducks and squirrels and several bbq grills were nearby as well. There were traditional children's playground and modern exercise stations and an interesting climbing wall, serving as a form of rock-climbing substitute.

Overall, we quite enjoyed our morning hour here and would have happily returned. While not a fantastic or overly beautiful park, we felt Hafer served its purpose and enjoyed our time here.

Hafer park can be found on Bryant, just past 2nd Street in Edmond.

I have ran several places in Edmond and this is one of the best all around
runs with lots of hills. You can easily run a 3 mile loop in this park and if it is windy the trees block the wind.

nice trails/walkways, usually very green in summer, lot's of ducks and geese and some turtles in the pond, my fur baby loves walking there. the downsides - people parking whichever way taking multiple spaces, dogs running around unleashed, some just can't follow the rules

We came here while it was freezing. Yet there were still tons of geese and ducks around. They poop everywhere, so don't wear new shoes. The rock wall is pretty cool and tough. There are some nice trees to climb. This is a nice place for kids to run around for an hour. There are several play structures.

Great park. Good access. And had a nice bench to chill and watch my kids climb around. Plenty of trees to get out of the sun

I love walking at Hafer Park and is great for people who want mostly moderate walking challenges. My husband walks with me and we use it as our go to park for walking. It has a couple of steep hills and most people can make it up them but if you can't this park provides ways around those hills. The walking trail is interesting because there are areas with full sun, areas that seem deep into the woods, areas with small hills that just make it fun. I have walked this park during all times of the year and even after a snowstorm. A great park for not just families but for couples!

An excellent park! Our boys love the new play ground area with astroturf. There are 3 play ground areas, as well as a wonderful walking trail and a pond where the kids can feed the ducks. Please remember to feed them one of the following instead of bread:
Corn (canned, frozen or fresh)
Duck pellets (sold online and at pet stores)
Lettuce, other greens (torn into small pieces)
Frozen peas (defrosted)
Oats (rolled or instant)
Seeds (including birdseed or other varieties)
