After a graduation, which was close by, we all stopped at this small museum. It is housed in an Armory, built in 1936, to protect the people of Edmond. The sandstone building is fascinating, and we spent some time looking over the outside, and admiring it. What a perfect structure to hold the history of this city.
Inside, there are over 42,000 artifacts, all connected to Edmond. There are both permanent and rotating exhibits. We enjoyed looking at all of them. Loved the "Tiny, But Mighty," temporary exhibit of 72 small artifacts from the museum collection. Entrance is free, and donations are very appreciated. There is ample parking in a connected lot.

Fun little stop to see some of Edmonds history. You can also pick up a walking tour map of Edmond as well. I would recommend taking the walking tour in the spring or fall.

It is a small but good museum. We toured very quickly but had to stay for the kid area! We just loved loved loved that area. That made the trip worth it all! It is a short event, although graddaughter (age 5) would have stayed longer! A camera is a must when you get the kiddos dressed up in old western gear!

This museum is so very wonderful. The staff are top notch. The effort they have put into making this an educational and hands on experience for kids is the best I’ve seen. The adults in our group had plenty of historical things to take in and read and the teen in our group enjoyed everything especially the large checkers table. Highly recommend!

This is a small museum, free of charge. Donations are welcome. Friendly staff and a super fun children’s area with dress up props and various sections for them to play in (bank, jail, general store). I enjoyed their exhibits. Great place for families. Under construction currently, but will hopefully reopen in 2019.

This is a fun activity for elementary and younger children. The place is divided up into rooms resembling different activities, like a general store, a post office, a bank, etc. it's not crowded, which is nice for young children. The people working are very nice. This activity is free but there is a donation jar which is appreciated.

When it's a very hot day in Edmond it's a great place to go and bring children it has a Lego room. It also has children's play rooms where they can get dressed up. The park behind it is so much fun even on a hot day. The super scoop ice cream place right behind it is also wonderful.
