It's a great place to explore if you're new to Edmond. It also has a great children's section, and please, it's free!

The Edmond Historical Museum is a great place to stop in and see the current historical displays, see some exhibits about the early days of Edmond, and ask the staff questions about the city. I've purchased a book at the store, and would like to return to buy more. The museum often has events for the public (Including book signings),... More

Lots of information in this museum, you could send an hour or hours just depending on if you want to read and learn about everything. They also have a small gift some with fun suviners. Worth checking out!

If you have young kids, this place is a surprising gem. An old fashioned town in the back with a market, farm, teepee, bank, store and train provides a great play place for young children (babies to young elementary school). There's a park next to the museum with fun things to climb and picnic tables.

Fun little stop to see some of Edmonds history. You can also pick up a walking tour map of Edmond as well. I would recommend taking the walking tour in the spring or fall.

It is a small but good museum. We toured very quickly but had to stay for the kid area! We just loved loved loved that area. That made the trip worth it all! It is a short event, although graddaughter (age 5) would have stayed longer! A camera is a must when you get the kiddos dressed up in old... More

They also have news archives for local history, nice museum. My son at 10 loved it. The indoor western village was clever.

As a visitor I was not sure what we would find but thought it would be nice to visit the Edmond museum. It was a pleasant surprise and a learning experience. As a family we enjoyed learning of Edmonds History and the displays and artifacts were very intriguing. I would recommend a visit to this very quaint facility.

I liked that there was a place for the children to act out life from 100 years ago. A bank, store, garden, and tee pee, and frontier home make it a good place for children to explore and play.

Edmond Historical Society has a cute little museum for the kiddos and is right next door to Stephenson park for some play time after. Check out their website for a schedule of special events. My daughter's all time favorite summer activity is attending their 3 day 1889ers school.
