    Best trail ride ever!
This was the best trail ride weve ever been on! The guides Michael and Mark were great, the horses were beautiful, the trails were woods and farmland and we crossed a stream! So much fun we will drive here from Michigan next year too! We loved it!

    Amazing experience!
My husband and I booked a private ride with Michael. We’ve been to Broken Bow several times but this was by far the best experience we have ever had. The views were breathtaking and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and he went the extra mile to make it an experience to remember. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful and fun ride, 2 hr was great time; no photo allowed, stay single file entire time in their chosen order.
It was extremely beginner rider friendly (we had both very experienced and very green riders in our large party). We did the 2 hour ride. The ride itself was lovely, views, river crossings, up and down hills. It was a good experience but definitely had some things that could be improved. Several of the horses should probably not be used in a group setting like that because they tried to bite other horses multiple times. My paint horse, Big Ben, was blind in one eye and kept stumbling even on flat ground. I dont know if he was tired or hurting or if that is his norm, I told the woman leading our group and she completely dismissed my concerns, saying that "maybe he was tired" and rode to the front so she didnt even try to witness if he had an issue after I brought it up. I closely observed and none of the other horses seemed to have that issue, but I had a child doubling with me and the thought of a fall caused me concern. I have had horses all my life and we ride regularly, he was definitely dragging or stumbling more than a horse normally would.. We were not allowed to get a group photo at any time. At the last half mile going back I asked for one before dismount and was told "that would be hard to do because we have more riders coming right after you" and I was toward the back of the line and they had dismounted the first three riders before I was even in the yard. I dont have any photos of my 13 and 10 year olds because they were at the far front and I was at the back at all times. When a family group spends over $1000 and your system asks for a 20% tip at the onset, seems like letting them get a family picture that would take a couple minutes at most should be a priority. That was very disappointing and felt like they had their money and were just rushing to the next group. For something so special as this, taking the time to allow a group photo would help commemorate it and be good advertising as well. So overall, a great experience and one I'd recommend, but know that you are just going for a beautiful ride, and concerns and requests for even just one photo may be totally ignored.

Lane made this so much fun
The young man Lane who was part of our Trail Ride Leaders was so much fun to talk with and to ride with. I would suggest going on the first ride of the day as its a long day for the horses and the trail hands. And with the weather getting hotter it will be a better experience for all

    Gorgeous views from horseback!!!
Fantastic horseback ride!! These people were so accommodating with our requests. Our guide Shannon was so friendly and informative, relating the history of the property and the surrounding area. We rode thru cool forests, hilly terrain, clear riverbeds, and pasture- all in one ride. Beautiful hilltop views! Definitely worth a short drive.

    Amazing!
We had the best time on this trail ride. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Beautiful scenery, great horses and a really friendly guide. Suitable for beginners as the horses are super calm but also fun for more experienced riders as the scenery is so stunning.

First the negatives. My husband and I did the 2-hour ride. The group they sent us out with totaled ten horses for customers plus three guides. The horses walked, slowly, the entire time. I had hoped we would at least trot a bit sometimes. I found it boring. The guide who put me on my horse didn't check my stirrups at all. I noticed the two femaie guides who helped other people made sure that the stirrups were adjusted properly for other riders, but the man who helped me did not. And I didn't really notice that the stirrups were too short for me until after we had gotten going. By then it seemed like it would've been hard to stop the whole group (a long line of 13 horses) to ask them to adjust my stirrups, so I didn't say anything. I know, I know, I should have. But I just wish he had adjusted them at the beginning. By halfway into the ride, my ankles and knees were hurting. In fact, my ankles and knees ended up aching the rest of the day and evening. Also, I guess for $75 each I was kind of surprised to be put in such a large group. Maybe that's why we went so slowly? I don't know.
Now the positives. My husband liked the slow pace. The guides were polite. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful. The horses appeared to be healthy and well-cared for. I heard some of the others in our group who had never ridden before express some fear in the beginning, but they quickly realized that they were safe and there was nothing to be afraid of. The guide who brought up the rear was a young woman who said she barrel races sometimes (sorry didn't get her name). She was very calm and was good with the one guy in front of me who kept confusing his horse. She clearly knows what she's doing. She made sure everything stayed under control.

This is a beautiful trail ride, especially the last 2/3rds of it. It has very nice views and a couple of really fun river crossings. The guides were very quiet though—they did a great job with the horses but it seems this is not intended to be a tour or informational ride.

Not only was this great for my beginner aunt and grandpa but i this has been my favorite trail ride that I’ve paid for. I would consider myself not experienced but intermediate and this was a great experience. I liked the freedom aspect of it but also how organized it was for beginners. This was a ten out of ten event and my aunt who’s never rode a horse before hasn’t stopped talking about it since yesterday. We rode the horses Pinky,Star, and Dan and they were all very good horses. The horses are all well taken care of and the guides are great at matching the horse with the rider. I forgot the guides names however I’ve never seen better trail guides. Five stars for all of them.

This was our first time to go horseback riding and where better to go then ride down the road from beautiful broken bow! We booked the 3p.m. ride for 2 hours and let me tell you beautiful can't even describe it. We ended up riding into the sunset! We went up hill, down hill and everywhere between. My personal favorite was through the creek bed, breath taking! Literally! My foot managed to get wet! Our guide was nice and polite. Haley the receptionist, was very knowledgeable of the area. She told us a lot of interesting history, the story of the Riverman Trails (a family owned and operated business also) and good places to eat and visit down the road. Overall a great experience, can't wait to come back!

Had a blast riding here with the girlfriend. She grew up with horses and this was my fourth time riding and we both enjoyed it. My horse, Ginger, was a bit eager to get the hour trip over with but she was still a good horse. The guides were helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to ride.

Leisurely ride and lovely views. They were timely and organized. However, one thing the ride lacked was conversation. If our friends weren’t chatting we rode in silence. And chatting was difficult when our friend group got split up among other riders because “the horses fall in line where they want to be” and they asked us not to change that once they decided their place. So there was a lot of silence in 2 hours. The guides were pleasant and answered questions but offered no insight as to were we were or what we were seeing. It would have been nice to know a little history of the area, what we were seeing, how they worked their ranch, and maybe more about our horses. We were also sad that once we got on the horses we never got a group photo. The horses were so trained to be in line that when we returned to the area to dismount they just filed in and there was no stopping them. I wish the guides had stopped them at some point on the ride, dismounted, (maybe at a pretty area?) and offered to get our picture. It was still a nice time and a good value but it just lacked the engagement that would have made it a great time.

We are here in July and rode in the morning before it was too hot. The trails included a little bit of everything including hills, creek and river crossings, through the forest, pasture, and delightfully through their heard of beautiful cattle. Our guides were great! Knowledgeable about the area and the horses. The horses and tack are well maintained. Wonderful experience Definitely will be back

We were fortunate enough to go on a day with great weather and really enjoyed the 2 hour ride. A good bit of it was through the woods, which was great for keeping cool. But part of it was full sun, and I was glad to be there in May and not July/August. We enjoyed crossing the rivers a few times too.
