There were 4 of us, me, husband, daughter and son-in-law. We ventured the 8 mile kayak trip. Although the water was a bit low and we had to row more than anticipated, we were all glad that we adventured the river. The upwards 3 miles are rocky and challenging, the lower 5 smoother with a few rushing areas. It is beautiful, exhilarating and peaceful. We stopped after the falls for a sandwich and some time to catch our breath. The Owners & Staff were very helpful and informative. Note: please listen to the staff on recommendations for your experience and abilities... and Row the River!!!

What a fun day! Although I've had a negative experience in the past with another provider, today kayaking redeemed itself. From the moment we talked to them on the phone, my mind was put at ease. They offer different trips, so we opted for the 5 mile one. When we arrive they were friendly and accommodating. We forgot our bag for snacks and drinks and they let us theirs. The ride in the van to the drop off location was just a short trip. The young man that drove us was friendly and offered tips and stories that came in handy once on the water. The 5 mile trip was scenic and relaxing with just enough white water to keep it from being boring. There were several locations were people could stop and rest and even a rope swing for those that want to. I would highly recommend Wild Goose Canoe and Kayak to couple and families.

We did the 8 mile course and while definitely tiring it was still a lot of fun. My wife (40) and Myself (43) took 6 teenage girls ranging from 16-19 years old. The owner was very nice and the staff were great. The owner gave myself a report of the river and what to expect before we loaded up and were transported to launching area about 15-20 minutes away via van. The first 3 miles are the best part of the trip. The current was quick but not to fast. After the the first 3 miles you hit about a 3 mile stretch that is all paddling. After that you have about a mile of swifter current which is perfect for floating along then the last mile or so was more paddling. Took about 4 hours to complete it. Exhausted to say the least but we’ll worth it. Will be going back.

We used Wild Goose last year for 8 of us. We booked ahead, arrived on time, signed in, got our gear, loaded up and headed for the drop off point for the 5-mile excursion. What a great, great time we had floating at a leisurely pace (our choice), made several stops along the way for snacks, drinks and one for utilizing a rope swing. Oh my gosh, so many laughs at the rope swing. I would say this was the perfect setup for novice kayakers. The WG folks were totally professional in their attitude and assistance at the in and out points. As as out-of-shape 67-year old I can say that was greatly appreciated. On June 6th we are returning to Broken Bow with my whole immediate family (12 of us) and this kayak trip will be a highlight. Strongly recommend using Wild Goose.

We used Wild Goose for our kayak trip down the Lower Mountain Fork River. We did the 8 mile trip and it was great! We had plenty of time to stop and relax and play in the river along the way. If you enjoy being in the middle of nowhere then their 8 mile trip is a must. We will definitely use them again for future river trips.
