We walked down the street and entered the park. Curving steps took us down to the trail that crossed streams and waterfalls. Wished we had more time to hike.

When I use to work in Yellowsprings, I use to go here a lot on break to get my thoughts together, being around nature really helps keep one grounded in the here and now.

I loved this place. It was gorgeous. The springs were orange not yellow which was a nice surprise. There are lots of steps so it will be extremely difficult with a stroller.

We found an injured owl on our farm. We called the Raptor Center for information. They gave us very clear directions for capture and then to transport the owl to them. Once there, we were allowed to watch as an initial assessment was done. If...More

Wasn't expecting to pay $2 for parking and .50 for a map. Trails are not marked very well so we got a little lost, but other then that everyone had a blast. Beautiful falls and rock formations.

This place is amazing. With miles of trails you can walk through old growth forests and see ancient cataracts from the ice age as well as the famous Yellow Springs. Check out the covered bridge at the end of Hyde Street as well as the...More

A group of us walked through the preserve to a wonderful waterfall. Hard to believe this area is hidden and well protected. A wonderful walk in the afternoon and the species of bright red mushrooms hidden under the leaves was mother nature's pallet of colors.

Glen Helen was a great place for a hike and only a short walk from our Inn in Yellow Springs. It is very easy to get lost here. Be sure to get a trail map in town as the trails are not clearly marked and...More

I come here all of the time with my family. It never gets old. It can be crowded on the weekends, but once you get off the main path where the trails meet, its really peaceful. We usually bring our two dogs with us, and...More

We had a fun day in Yellow Springs before school starts. We hiked the trail and it was beautiful. Very quiet for a Monday and peaceful. We saw 3 waterfalls and my children hopped on the stone path through the low river. We even took...More

We will only be in the area for one day - so if you had to choose between Clifton Gorge and Glen Helen which would you recommend? We will have 2 children with us as well, 8 & 4 so wondering if either place has locations to play in the waters/streams? Thanks so much for any advice!

I would say that Glen Helen would be the best for small children. If you walk north up the bike path after coming out of Glen Helen, there is a playground not too far away. And there is plenty to eat in Yellow Springs, also... More
