Inniswood Gardens is an awesome garden/Park. There are a variety gardens such as Conifer garden, Rose garden, Herb garden, Rock garden, etc. In addition, there are several nice trails which stay cool from the shade of the trees even on a hot day. Do not miss the Boardwalk trail. There are so many other unique and interesting things throughout the garden. In fact, at one spot during my visit, a guide was pointing out a Barred Owl young one sitting in a tree to visitors. The Sisters’ garden is small but attractively designed.
Inniswood Gardens is a wonderful place to enjoy trails and gardens. It is a facility that takes pride in its maintenance. Well worth a visit. It's free and has plenty of free parking.

My husband and I added this to our list to visit based on the other trip advisor reviews.
We absolutely loved the gardens. It was a beautiful autumn day. The trees were vibrant, brilliant bursting with color and the weather was perfect.
There are multiple short trails that connect. We walked the trails within the park and the .6 mi trail that connects Sunbury road.
The trials are flat and well maintained. The gardens are lovely and well maintained.
The Innis house had a display of quilts.
We had a wonderful day strolling through the gardens and trails and had a lunch in the gardens.
Next time we are in the Columbus area we will visit this park again.

We visited the park for our first time and walked the Overlook Trail. The hike took about an hour, including time at the overlook and a few other stops. The trail was reasonably level, well groomed, and fall colors were in abundance. We saw wild turkeys and we enjoyed the river overlook though we did not see eagles.

Beautiful gardens and we'll maintained paths. There is a picnic area that is clean. This a really nice place. There are lots of people though, so a private walk is probably not a possibility. Also seems to be a favorite background for photographers.

Wow. I am from the Cleveland area and cherish our Metroparks. I only wish we had a place like Inniswood gardens. A must visit when staying in the Columbus area. We plan on going back to spend more time. I saw flowers I had never seen before and the sister's garden was my favorite so far. We still need to explore other area's next time and pack a lunch and make a longer day of it!!!

Good afternoon stroll through gardens to get outside in late May. Beautiful setting particularly the built water features. Mix of shaded and sunlit areas. Roses looked like past their prime during our visit.

Loved this attraction so much that I returned the next day to visit again. On each visit, I saw different things and walked different trails.
Don't miss the Sisters' Garden, especially if you bring children with you. This area is full of fun surprises for children of all ages and for adults.
Lots of colorful things to see, even in October. There were very few blooming roses left in the rose garden. Must be beautiful in the summer.
Most paths are paved, although some were boardwalk or gravel.
Pick up a map between the parking lot and the circle garden.
There are restrooms at the far end of the parking lot, right near the curved drive leading from one section of parking to the next.

The minute you walk into Inniswood Metro Gardens, you forget you are in the suburbs. Your are surrounded on both sides by thick woods as you cross over a rocky stream and up a hill to be welcomed by seasonal flowers and foliage that will bring a smile to even the most stressed out visitor. From there, you can stroll down a wooded path to discover 'Grandma's House' and 'Bessie's Barn' as well as the Sister's Secret Garden. A little further and you will be drawn in by the waterfalls and stream that is everyone's favorite spot to stand and pause. That's just about 1/4 of what you can experience at Inniswood. This is one of my favorite places on earth. Visit and bring your camera. Note: This is a botanical garden, so no pets, picnics, balls or frisbees.

I had lived in Columbus for 16 years and in New Albany for 7 before going to Inniswood. It was a pleasant day and my wife was on a business trip, so I thought I'd give the park a try. It was so great that I brought my wife to visit when she got back. There are manicured gardens, a nature walk, consciously-designed natural areas, a number of interesting pieces of art, and all kinds of fauna. It was a delight.

I visited Inniswood Metro Gardens on a Sunday evening because I knew it is a gorgeous and serene place to take a walk. They were hosting one of their guided walks; and there was about 20 people. Probably some were newbie walkers like me and others were regulars and could add to the discussion. The guide was very knowledgeable about Inniswood and outdoor education in general. After the guided walk I stayed and walked on the lovely trails that take you past different streams, meadows, woodlands and LOTS of floral & herbal gardens. It was quite enjoyable and I learned there is a very active volunteer group that assists in making this park vibrant and always growing & changing. I learned there was a lot going on at Inniswood besides growing floral and fauna!
After this visit I decided on this being my first of many metro park adventures! I picked up the Parkscope booklet for the Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks and I plan to check out more park events at all the parks--- or just go to one for a hike or observe God's nature. I am amazed at all that is available to do and see at our park system. If you plan to visit Columbus, don't just visit our fabulous & famous Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay Water Park; visit one or more of the fabulous parks too. If you want more info I would suggest visiting metroparks.net. It is well laid out so you can see what events are coming, maps and directions, and info about each park. They even have the events marked well for the 50+ group, letting you know if it is a very easy, medium, or more rigorous activity. Of course they have activities planned for families and for preschoolers and homeschool learners as well.
And for those of us,who live in or near the area don't forget to visit our parks. You and you family will not be bored. Truly this is a gem that I have been missing out on.

Is there a charge to walk through the park?
Written April 10, 2017
Are there any signs up telling people to keep off the rocks in the rock garden? I was at Inniswood for the first time today and there were signs around this pretty little creek / rock formation so I didn't take my son's picture. I'm not sure if those are always there. I see that same location on different professional photographers' websites and wonder if they just ignore the signs or if this is a temporary thing.

Hello there - I'm pretty sure the signs are always there. Professional photographers seem to do what they can.
