Ohio's largest and most beautiful cavern. Tours take guests through two different parts of the cavern. The Historic Tour begins at the site of discovery and includes the part that was originally explored from 1897 to 1925. The Natural Wonder Tour takes guests on a 1 mile walk through parts discovered after 1925. It includes the largest stalactite in Ohio, The Crystal King, along with many other marvelous formations and colors. The Winter Tour is the only tour offered from October 1st through April 30th. It is a hybrid tour, showing guests highlights from both the Natural Wonder and Historic tours.

We took the "Natural Wonder Tour" and we're so glad we did! On a hot summer day, going deep down into the caverns is quite an experience. It's really nice and cool inside, about 60F average when it's almost 90F outside! The tour guide walked us through a series of paths that are often very narrow, then it would open... More

This is a good day trip. It cost us $88 for 2 short tours, so price wise I think it was expensive. If you go be sure to where a light jacket and comfortable walking shoes. The caverns themselves are chilly and muddy. It's a family friendly trip and its educational. The one stalactite was 200,000 years old. Each tour... More

We took two of our grandchildren, ages 9 & 12. They really enjoyed it, partly because it was their first experience in a cave and were excited to see all of the nooks & crannies as well as the stalagmites and 'tites. We took a tactile flashlight and it was helpful, but not absolutely necessary. A jacket felt good in... More

Our 15yo daughter wanted to do this with the rest of us going along to humor her. However, it was a nice visit and an interesting tour. The grounds are pretty and had we known we would have planned for a picnic. Neither one of the tours is for a handicapped or mobility limited person. While one of the tours... More

We did both tours and it was completely worth it! A lot of steps out of the natural wonders cavern but still worth it! Very nice when it's hot and muggy outside it was 54 degrees in the caverns. So some might want a light jacket. There are some low and some what tight places too but I'm old and... More

We were looking for something different to do on a Sunday afternoon. We were never in caverns before so off we went. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. We learned the geological reason for the caverns and their various contents as well as the history of discovery, ownership, and marketing of the caverns. Enjoyed our time there. Can't compare to any... More

We visited early around 10 am on a Thursday and did the natural wonders tour. It started in approx. 10 mins after we arrived. Very interesting. We had about 10 people in our group. Quinn was our guide - she was funny and had a lot of knowledge about the caverns. Lasted about an hour. Had to duck a few... More

We also enjoyed the Natural Wonder Tour at the Ohio Caverns. Our granddaughter just had to pan for gems and rocks and enjoyed the experience.

Amazing to learn how the caves were discovered, excavated and have been protected for future generations. The tours were great but a tad to long for my 3 year old attention span, she did one of the touts and did just fine.
