Thank you for your positive review of Idle-Hour Ranch. We would like to note, for our future guests reading these reviews, however, that we unfortunately no longer have the giraffe as of August 2014. So please don't visit with expectations of seeing him. However, we do have some other wonderful animals you and your family will enjoy interacting with, and... More

Checked website. Said there would be special events. Said Bouncy House, food, festival. This was on there website for this weekend. This sounded just perfect for his birthday. Well, the Bouncy House is laying on the ground not inflated, the only food I seen was snack and candy in the giftshop . There are all kinds of animals. Have not seen... More

Hello Gsdunaway, We are sorry to hear that you did not have the greatest time while visiting our animal sanctuary. Unfortunately, you must have missed the extra festivities we had available to our guests, apart from the bounce house, which included not only pony and camel rides, but also a tent full of free games and family entertainment (straw jump,... This is a great place to take your family. They have so many animals. Many are exotic animals that you don't see on an everyday basis. We love the wolves, foxes, singing dogs and the coyotes. People of all ages will enjoy!

They may not have lions, tigers, and bears but they sure have plenty of animals for the kids to owe and awe over, parents too. They have pony rides, and when available, they also have camel and elephant rides. There is a nice snack and eating area along with an area you can find great souvinors. Kids can mine for... More

We took our great granddaughter to see the animals. They had a wide variety for children to see. If in the area, a good place to visit. Since they are outside, they have spring - fall hours.

I visited this place with my family in August and found it to be a wonderfully interactive place. The folks here are passionate about their animals, and obviously do their utter best for them with the resources they have! The animals would benefit from an influx of visitors, as all of the proceeds go to the care and feeding of... More

Surprisingly good time. Took our grandkids there (ages 2 and 6) and, while the two year old was scared of everything that didn't look like a doggie, the 6 year old enjoyed feeding the various animals. They had a corn maze opened, and the 6 year old loved that. The two year old doesn't quite get the concept, so she... More

Our visit was pretty good. We were taken by the different style of petting/animal farm this was. There is a unique variety of animals, which offered different experiences. They all are docile and friendly animals. The people running it are very nice, friendly, and helpful. They will explain anything you have questions on in a nice, kind way. The only... More

Not bad, lots of animals to feed and pet. Kind of a small area for so many animals though, the poor lion looks like it's in a giant bird cage. There is a jumpy house and bunny petting area for small children. Overall not bad, high priced though.
