Fun History at this Park!
Dec 2020
Wildwood is beautiful with it's history and nature. Make sure to cross the covered bridge, view Stranahan Manor, and travel the bridge over the marshy area behind it. Many birds live here in all seasons. There are nice bathrooms, which is always a plus.

The Jewel of MetroParks Toledo
Oct 2020 • Solo
I use the parks nearly every day since I retired. A walk down the university parks trail then into Wildwood happens more often than not. There's so many different things to see and explore within Wildwood.

beautiful and scenic outdoor trails
Oct 2019
exercise by walking or jogging through the scenic wooded trails that cover and connect in many sections in the woods, simply a pleasure and quite interesting with small waterfalls, points of education, and water ways as well. Its fun, relaxing, and simply amazing...

Too packed to stay!
Mar 2020 • Family
This was my first choice for my family picnic, however, it was packed with families already so we went to my next choice. It's a very beautiful park. Lots of people running with dogs, pushing strollers, just enjoying themselves throughout the entire park. One day, I'd love to come hike the trails with my kids and doggies, and see all the beautiful things already pictured here. Plenty of paved parking.

Pretty but disappointed
Dec 2019 • Couples
We chose a very pretty, warm day to visit. Trails varied as to difficulty but none were extremely hard. We WERE disappointed that a very large section of the walking trails were completely closed off and there were LOTS of walkers, many with dogs and they were not very courteous to other walkers. The day was a disappointment overall even though the weather was nice.

Beautiful Metropark
Dec 2019
We walked around Wildwood on an unusually warm Christmas Day. Apparently many others thought like us, as the walkways and trails were as crowded as on a summer day. I've visited Wildwood many times previously, and once, I think, when the Manor House was open. The grounds and house are well-maintained, and Wildwood is a great place for a casual walk. I wish the Manor House was open more frequently though!

Beautiful trails
Oct 2019 • Couples
This is a favorite park for dog walkers and groups with children as the playground is impressive. There is also the Stranahan "Mansion" which is decorated for Christmas and open for tours right after Thanksgiving. There are trails that go along 10 mile creek if it isn't flooded and some that cross the paths of sleeping deer.

Rare Gem in the Toledo MetroPark System
Jun 2019 • Family
Toledo's MetroPark System is unique and treasured. The Wildwood Preserve Metropark is probably the crown jewel of the System. Oak Openings would also be highly ranked in the System.

Great trails, playground and picnic areas.
Jun 2019 • Friends
Always something to do here from eating a picnic, playing Frisbee, riding bikes, walking the trails or letting the kids play on the playground.

Flowers, plants, herbs for your viewing pleasure.
May 2019 • Couples
Stopped at the local park and took in the flowers and plant life. Found an unusual "asparagus" fern that fascinated us. We are looking to find one here in NE Ohio.
