Heritage Village Museum is a living history museum depicting life in Southwestern Ohio throughout the 19th Century. Homes, out-buildings and equipment on the museum grounds were moved here from other locations in the region to be preserved and aid in telling the story of our recent past. Interpreters at the museum provide the facts and stories that bring the Village to life with nostalgic glances of days gone by.

Visit the museum for guided tours, or see our website or Facebook page for information about special events, summer camps, school and scout field trips. Tour prices and village hours vary--check our website or call before you come.

Heritage Village Museum is a recreated 1800s community in Southwestern Ohio. We had hoped to visit the Heritage Village in Sharonville but it was closed for the day due to tree trimming. It is always closed on Mondays. We could see some of the buildings from across the river and they looked lovely. There are many trails and picnic areas... More

Nestled in Hamilton County Parks' "Sharon Woods" you will have the opportunity to slow down and take a step back into the simpler life of the 19th century. Begin your tour at the restored "Hayner House"...an 1850's Greek Revival style farmhouse with surrounding "farmland". You can take a scheduled guided tour, or with the aid of an excellent pamphlet, tour... More

We got a private tour by a very pleasant guide all dressed up in period costume, despite the heat and humidity. I'm so pleased these buildings have been saved and brought together like this. I loved the Kemper 1804 log cabin and summer kitchen. Who knew a log cabin could be so nice? The church has a lovely light-blue rounded... More

We had a fantastic time at the Civil War day - my sons eyes lit up at the reenactment. The historical houses were nice but my one complaint: Please write "Do not touch" in areas that are open to the public. The acting doctor was extremely rude on Saturday for the festival. No where does it say not to touch.... More

Step back in history at Heritage Village. This historic village is located within Sharon Woods (a Hamilton County park which is great in its own right). This collection of historic buildings, relocated from various parts of the area, showcase life in the region from a bygone era. The dedicated staff and volunteers do a great job keeping the park vibrant... More

My daughter and I took 2 school-age boys from our neighborhood to the village one afternoon. The boys were really wanting to play on the playground and we had a hard time convincing them to go with us on the tour. They ended up LOVING it. We ended up getting a private tour and they got to ask a lot... More

I have always enjoyed this Village of historic buildings collected from the surrounding area. It is a good representation of different types of buildings and different lifestyles of the past. Most recently I took my 7, 8 and 11 year old grandchilren for a tour. The guide was great at engaging the children in hands-on activities; they all enjoyed it... More
