I honestly have no idea how this place has such great reviews unless it is for the additional haunted houses (we did not partake in those). It was talked up a lot and we planned on spending several hours here. We were completely let down. I assumed once we purchased our tickets and passes, we would be able to go in and do what we wanted. Nope. You literally have to go back up to the front desk and wait in a ridiculous line for each activity you want to do. The only thing that was kind of ok was the haunted house inside the primary building. XD 4D theater - half the seats were broken, so you have to wait forever in line. Skating - irritating that the employees don't make these kids stay IN the rink. Instead, you are trying to dodge them as they are skating wherever they want and into people. The VR gaming? Just stopped right in the middle of my daughter playing her game. At that point, we just decided to leave. It is completely overpriced for what you get. We went to Cedar Point the day before and spent less money in the park than we did at Ghostly Manor. You would think when you spend as much money as you do, they would include at least a few credits for arcade games. LOL, nope. I guess there is a reason they don't offer refunds, because they would definitely not be in business. Never again.

The staff was awesome and we saw them regularly cleaning during out time here. They were friendly! The kids had a great time in their activities. We all did the miniature golf and it was amazing! It’s a 3D version and it was amazing just to see the design and such of the holes! Well worth the price. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

Visited Sandusky for Cedar Point but had a day to do other things. Found Ghostly Manor and my son and I were so glad we did. The haunted house was just awesome. I've never jumped in the many theme park houses I've been to (Universal, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Six Flags NJ) but I did here. We went during the weekday so there was no rush and we could experience all the house had to offer. I was very impressed. The staff here was super friendly, the arcade and mini golf were fun. Would definitely return if in the area and I highly recommend the haunted house. Great value here.

Took the kids and grandchildren to this facility. There was a fun and filling time for all. Despite the different attractions we spent the most time on the skating floor. Who would believe that?
The staff was friendly, but it was understaffed, not surprising these days. The food was good and the facility clean. A good time for wall.

I consider myself a haunted house expert. Since '92, I've been to at least 20 different haunted attractions in Northern Ohio and Niagara Falls, and without a doubt, Ghostly Manor is in my top two or three. If it wasn't for the permanent attraction called Nightmares Fear Factory in Niagara Falls, the Manor would easily be # 1. Let me tell you why this location should be on your haunted house list. Last year, my buddy and I rode out to Ghostly Manor to check it out. We pulled into the parking and saw the hearse that advertised the house, but the parking lot was pretty empty. It was around 9:30 on a slow September Friday, so we assumed the house would be fairly empty( it's located inside a roller rink). The place was empty, except for the actors who were roller skating. My main thought was that this was gonna be a waste of time. The actors went into the house to get ready for my buddy and I and then we went inside. It was fantastic! The house is fairly large, so it takes you a while to get through it. This is not one of those cheap haunts with 15 year olds running around with Jason masks. You can tell by the special effects....there was a great deal o money put into Ghostly Manor. There were monsters popping out of the woodwork, and there was a shock or surprise in every room. And there is a room full of body bags that is just freaky. If you don't mind the drive to Sandusky or are planning to go to Halloweekends at Cedar Point, just check out Ghostly Manor. It's worth the trip.

I know everyone here can't trust one review, but I think this is one to trust.
My name is Steven, I live in Cincinnati, its about a 5 hour drive. I've been in every haunted house around here.. I think it's 16, and I've been to one in Columbus(3 hr drive) to terror park. I've been in one in florida too, called the haunted castle, the one in florida is open year round I think. It might be closed for 3 months.
Anyways, I drove up to Sandusky for Cedar Point and on the way home, at 8:30 we stopped at Ghostly Manor. Here's my review.
It started off we pulled up to a skating rink. The building doesn't look to promising, and we see alittle boy(6 or 7) come out, his eyes big, and he comes up to me and my family and says," Your going to be scared" and walked away, it was disturbing, because he was so serious. He didn't say it was fun, or good. He didn't smile or frown. He just said that and that was just disturbing how he said it. And of course you can't trust a 6 year olds opinion. His mom stared at us, and nodded, and we walked in. (Thursday night) Pitch Black building, we bout our tickets, and she told us to go to the back of the building and wait by the door where the worker is. So it's about a 45 sec walk through the dark skating rink. That started the atmosphere. Then a married couple comes out, and say "omg that was good" and they laughed, and signed the guest book.
Then we were ushered to go inside. This haunted house was so amazing its so hard to put into wards. I liked meeting fluffy in the first room. My mom almost fell over, because she was waiting for it to move and it wouldn't so when it finally moved it scared her, and the door popped open. From there it was 20 minutes of non stop scare. It has its comedy to like "I'll buzz you later" that was a good one. Anyways I don't want to ruin anything, but it was timed perfectly. We walked in a room, it would wait until we were in the middle of the room and 6 things popped out at once. Perfectly timed. Is it remote controlled? Cuz I've been to other haunts where it comes out, but wrong timing and stuff. The things that popped out came right next to your face. I have never screamed in a haunted house before. I had to of screamed 4 times. Since I was leading, and I saw you have cameras you have me on tape being a wussy haha. I bet you guys get a laugh out at that. Anyways everything was good and scary, but I would like to share the scariest parts. Walking thorugh the body bags. I've been thru tons of them before, but you guys do it the best. First of all it wasn't 5 seconds thru the body bags itt ws like a whole minute, which was horriflying because usually i can kneel down cand see under ther body bags, to look for feet to where the actors were but your bags go to low! Haha, so as soon as I start going through the body bags I go straight to the right side of the bags so actors can't go on both sides of me. I was expecting chainsaws, but you guys surprisded me. No chainsaws! Anyways I got to this body bag, I stopped and just stared at it. I couldn't tell if it was a person or not so I took a left, and he still didn't move, so I go back and I'm about to push the bag out of the way, and he movies fast and yells, scared me bad. I wasn't expecting it at all. You got me good there. I coulda sworn he was fake. Anyways the next part, was the catacombs with all the bodys in the walls. You did it nice. The pictures make it look bad. But it was scary. No actors, but the atmosphere and the speed of the strobe lights were perfect. I was waiting for like the skeletons to move, and the anxiety picks up and as soon as you go around a turn, I jumped, at just another skull! Haha, it was nice. I was soanxious for an actor I scared myself. Any haunt that can do that must be good. I don't see how your on the top 10 list, you deserve to be number one.
10 out of 10.
I will be going to "number 1" in columbus this year, but I doubt they will beat you, but I will post here.
I know this review was long and iffy, just don't forget I've never screamed before, and I hardly jump. I jumped at least 20 times, and screamed 4. A haunt that can do that to me, must be good. I went iffy on details because I didn't want to ruin anything.
I signed your guest book

So save that for when I become famous jk. But be proud of that.
Anyways, I was talking to a guy out front, he said you guys will be owning the whole building next year. Please don't have it to spaced out. Leave the rooms how they are and buy new stuff. Don't make the rooms you have spacey, it'll ruin the effect.
If I can give any advice, move your clown section, it doesn't fit where it is. It should be in the very beginning, or the end. In the middle it ruins the effect. Because the haunted house is dark, then the clowns are bright, so you feel bored through the clowns, when clowns are usually scary. If you have it in the beginning, it will be frightning. And at the end its a nice finally.
I can't find a better way, than to say, Thank you.

While in Sandusky, we discovered Ghostly Manor. Besides myself, my wife, 20 year old daughter, 13 year old daughter and 10 year old daugher decided to try out the haunted house. When we paid to go in, the clerk asked the age of my youngest daughter and told us they did not recommend it for children under 10. As she was 10, she wanted to try it. Right from when we first entered, she wanted to leave. My wife offered to go out with her but then she decided she would tough it out.
It was very scary, a real haunted house not the haunted mansion type. There were characters in it with us who kept appearing as we were walking through. They also went for the surprise factor quite often. Overall, it was what it advertised it would be. My two oldest daughters loved it, my youngest was proud she made it through and my wife and I were wondering what we were thinking when we decided to go in. If you want a scary experience, this would be it.

This is the best roller skating rink to take the whole family to. From very little ones to the older kids, they all can have fun here. What's even better is if your little one isn't too sure about roller skating, they can use a scooter instead! My son loves that he can ride a scooter while me and my daughter roller skate. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here to check out their haunted house. It cost us $33 for 2 adults and 1 child. The haunted house was solid and gave all three of us several good scares. It provides a good mixture of animatronics and real actors, and is quite lengthy compared to other haunted houses. The Thrill Center has many other activities going on, however we did not have the time to check them out. We would definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Ghostly Manor Haunted attraction is open all year long during operational hours. Lake Eerie Fearfest is open on selected nights during October.

I know that Ghostly Manor itself is excellent. We are planning to be in Sandusky in October and wanted to know if Lake Eerie Fearfest is worth the money? I've heard mixed reactions.
Written October 2, 2016
I think it's worth the money. It breaks down to $5.00 a haunted house. We put a lot of time and effort into producing a good show. Also, you can pick up a $5.00 off coupon at participating Wendy's.

Do you have to get a set package, or can you just pick and choose the things that you want?

The haunted house is $11.00 dollars to get into and is not recommended for 9 and under. It's scary!
