Great for families! But... do not go there during Spring Break! It's going to be very crowded and the lines will be long!
Also, it is very expensive! From ticket sales and food and the rooms (although good thing we didn't get a room!).
This was the first time i went there. I took my nephew here as a birthday surprise and he wasn't the only one who was surprised!!! It had things to do for every age of person and when you got tired of swimming there was...More
I visited Kalahari from April 25-27th 2019 for an early childhood education conference in hopes to advance my knowledge in the field, collaborate with fellow educators, and have a relaxing stay with my husband, Christopher. Needless to say, I was humiliated, embarrassed, and ashamed when...More
A friend was visiting from out of state and I wanted him to see the craziness that is Kalahari. Parking is a long way from anything. We walked to the arcade which was nuts with people running all over the place and getting run into...More
It was cheaper to get a room rather than day passes. Check in requires ID which I left in my car while my better half ran in. Then had to stand in line again. Signs are not specific enough throughout the place. The place is...More
We are a family of 5 looking to get out of town for a quick trip and did an overnight to Kalahari. Upon arrival around 12:45, there was a sea of cars waiting to unload and, thankfully, an attendant let us know about a second...More
We were going to go to GWL again, but were told about Kalahari from someone we know. We thought why not. We have 3 kids and the oldest is 12. We had a great time! Yes, it is not cheap with a family of 5,...More
To start, let me say that my family takes about 4-5 trips a year to various places throughout the US, Mexico and the Caribbean. So we have a lot we can compare this resort to. As far as waterparks go, we have previously stayed at...More
We really had a great 3 days at this waterpark. The lazy river is pretty cool. The wave pool is very popular and packed. I would recommend visiting early in the morning and later in the evening. If you can plan your time you will...More

Depends on the teen I suppose, but I think during the day they might have an issues with the amount of younger kids at the pool or in the arcade. But even so, the place is so big and has so many hang out spots that even the most trying teen is going to find a happy place somewhere. There isn't anything outside of the building for them to do though. The teens I did see there seemed to be having a good team just hanging out and drinking over-priced coffees. This wouldn't be my first thought to bring a teenager though. But if you are dragging them along because it's a stopover or they have a younger sibling they should be ok.

Never been to Castaway but Kalahari was GREAT! Our 5 year old grandson loved it and wore us and his mother out. Every enjoyable. I heard one young girl say to her mother as they walked down the viewing hallway, "Thank you sooooo much for bringing us here!!" It was pretty precious.
