We were here on a Saturday afternoon and lighthouse was closed. You can get nice pictures of the lighthouse and nice views of the lake from here. You can walk the grounds here and there is no charge. Good for a quick visit, would be...More

If you're into the bar scene or partying is your bag then you might want to skip the lighthouse but for those of us that frequent the island then this is a must see. Nice quiet area with plenty of shade, a few benches and...More

There is really not much to see but a metal tower and an old building which is not open. It is located on the water, but we could have skipped this site altogether. It needs some upkeep and repair.

Really neat place overlooked by many rushing to get downtown. This is an easy bike/cart ride from anywhere on the island.

The actual lighthouse has been decommissioned and has been replaced by an automated beacon (on the property). There were no tours of the interior provided but the grounds were open so one could see the view from the southern tip of South Bass Island.

Nice view of Lake Erie. It is sad to see old lighthouses just used for tourist destinations. I didn't go in an climb to the top.

As you can see this so-called light-house was a big disappointment for us. It is just a house with just the very top of a light-house. Also, closed after October 1st till summer. None of the attractions are worth visiting Put-In-Bay.

My husband absolutely HAD to see this place last time we were in town. We walked around it, and the highlight of the place was really the incredible view of the lake. Nice place to sit and watch the sunset!

This light house was closed to the public when we visited, however the grounds were still open and still beautiful, a great place to take a time out from the loud that can be Put-In-Bay
