We lucked out and went to the top of the memorial for free. Fee is usually $5.00. After walking up about 37 steps you will wait for an elevator to take you to upper observation deck. Views are breathtaking of surrounding islands and Canada. The monument will be closed next year for outside repairs so make sure you visit now.

This is a recommended must see if you want to view the lake and islands from a 360 view. Cost is $5 per person and no ac in the elevator. It was 99° out the day we went, so it was very hot at the top in the sunshine. The view was worth it though.

Wonderful vistas! I could not believe I could see Canada from the top. I also now know more about the War of 1812 than I EVER learned in school. Friendly staff and, yes, there is an elevator to the top.

The national park is very nice. The park rangers are very knowledgeable and answer any question you may have. We were happy that ther eis an elevator to go up 30 stories to the top of the memorial and the view was amazing.

View is spectacular. Information center with video explains the battle in enough detail to understand the history and importance. Very enjoyable, memorable. Staff gracious and knowledgable. Thanks

Going to the top of the Perry's monument was quite the experience! The visibility was beyond perfect when we were up there so we were able to see Canada, Detroit, Cedar Point and Cleveland! It was awesome! The park rangers were very helpful and knowledgable. For $5 a person, don't miss this view!!

We recently climbed the tower on our latest visit to Put In Bay. It was great to see all the islands from when you reached the top. It really helped to put things into perspective as to where everything is located there.

Great views on a clear sunny day. Rangers are very kind and informative. This attraction will be closing next season for some repairs--so visit if you can!
