I just found out about this place and I'm so glad I did! I always love going to Mentor Headlands and this place is only about 15 mins from there so it's a great addition to a day trip if you're in the mood for some light hiking. There are several trails here that bring you to different parts of... More

The Mentor Lagoons is a beautiful nature preserve, tranquil, quiet and peaceful. Whether you choose to walk the trails or rent a canoe, you're bound to enjoy yourself here. They have just recently updated the parking lot and things just keep on getting better.

Nice mid-day walk through the park. Well groomed trails and not at all crowded. A bit stark without any leaves on the trees. The dogs really enjoyed the solitude and smells.

I walk here almost every day. They are improving the grounds constantly. Improving trails, updating the parking lot, put in steps down to the beach, etc. It is very dog friendly, they have dog bags to assure you pick up after them. People tend to keep to themselves as they are walking. Easy, pretty walks.

The most beautiful place to hike or bike in Lake County - Mentor, Ohio. There are maps and trail markers for hiking at the public entrance. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to go to get away from it all. The Lagoons is a hidden gem that everyone needs to take advantage of to get away from the hustle and... More

The Lagoons is a decent place to kayak in the area. There is a loop you can do around the protected marina. You can also hike and bike here through the woods and along the lakeshore on a small trail system.

Were there on a very hot july morn. Took rim trail to a point where a sign indicated that the trail "ended". The obvious trail continued in the same direction and a meager unmarked trail branched off, but no signs showing where the trails were going...ended up behind a school. No natural outdoor area can be rated poor in my... More

Definitely a great way to spend an hour or so in the early afternoon on the weekend. A couple of great trails through the woods and one main trail that leads to the beach area. High recommend that you bring bug-spray in the June-July time, as mosquitoes will, quite literally, bleed you dry.
