- LeaCleveland, Ohio77 contributionsJust ehhhh....I have been to Round One at least 6-8 times since it opened. I always have fun, but there have been changes in the "tickets" you win, as well as the games. During my last two visits the number of credits needed to play have gone up. Weird credits too like 6.4 credits required. So if you don't calculate each game you play (who would) you're short .4 of a credit or .2 or whatever and you can't use your last credits. This weekend when I went, at least six different games were down. Some of the screens were shattered (probably an irresponsible kid who broke it) and some games we swiped our card and it took credits twice or the game would malfunction so we couldn't play after it took our credits. I've decided I won't go to Round One anymore for fun on my own. I'll go if I'm invited for a birthday party or something along those lines. And I probably won't play any arcade games.Visited January 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten January 26, 2020
- DennisCleveland, Ohio409 contributionsEnjoyable but expensiveIt was fairly busy on a friday night. The place gives you the feel of a casino but for video games and kids. We went there around 8pm to go bowling but they said it would be an hour and a half wait so we played some of the arcade games like Halo and Skeeball. You can purchase a gamecard and load with credits (20$ for like 80 credits). Each game is anywhere between 5-10 credits so it won't last too long. I think we got about an hour out of it. Not much value, really.Visited February 2019Traveled as a coupleWritten February 23, 2019
- Jeremy L3 contributionsRipped off on 1,000 ticket win WITH VIDEO PROOF!!!Fun until the general manager decided to blatantly rip us off. I took my 12 year old son to Round1 in Mentor, OH on 10/8/2022. One of the last games he played was Skee Ball. He scored 46,000 points after getting his last 3 balls in one of the 10,000 point holes. When we went to redeem the tickets for prizes, we were told there were only 895 tickets on his card. When I questioned this, I was told that the Skee Ball machine actually says "1,000 points", which is converted into fewer tickets. This sounded fishy, because we had spent $33 on various games and I was sure that we won at least 800 tickets just on the other games. But I let this go until my son reminded me of the video on my phone that I took of him "winning" his last Skee Ball game. I looked at the video, and sure enough it clearly shows everything, including my son rolling the last ball into the 10,000 point hole and the machine showing "1,000 tickets" and 46,000 points and as he's jumping up and down in excitement. I tried to explain this to the young man working the prize counter, but he wouldn't give in. Then I tried explaining it to a young woman who he brought over to look at the gameplay on the computer behind the prize desk. She also wouldn't budge. Finally, the general manager came by. He watched the video on my phone. He asked when this happened and I told him it was about 10 or 15 minutes prior. He asked for proof with a timestamp on the video, which I showed him. Even after all of this, he still refused to give my kid the 1,000 tickets that was rightfully won. I told the GM that this is a matter of principle - we have proof that my son won 1,000 tickets or that his business has false advertising, the tickets would cost Round1 maybe a couple dollars worth of prizes, and he should do the right thing. He still refused, and when I said that I would file a complaint with the BBB he said to go ahead. Unbelievable! Please find another arcade to spend your money at... one where the employees and (especially) top management have integrity.Visited October 2022Written October 16, 2022
- Mary1 contributionAwesome place for games and drinksLove this place. Yes, some of the games are broken but you expect that in any arcade (especially one that has a lot of niche foreign games). I've never tried the bowling but everytime I'm here there seem to be a lot of people enjoying it. There really isn't anything else like this in the area and I'd much rather come here than spend double to go to Dave and busters an hour away. I do wish that the bar stayed open the whole time as we usually just come here for games and drinksVisited August 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten September 16, 2022

Do not approach staff. Get names and report later. Going to them looking to resolve make matters worse. You end up having to finish off the night just upset. - Aimee C1 contributionDo NOT book a party here!!We booked our child's birthday party there. While the place is entertaining and clean, do not let this fool you. We were quoted one price and were charged an extra $130 when we arrived on the day of the party. The included games in the "all inclusive" package limit the kids options to only about 25% of the games on the game floor. Our hour of bowling didn't even allow the kids to finish one game because the lane kept malfunctioning. We also had a few kids that did not show and we were forced to pay for them anyway so make sure you estimate your head count on the low end. The outrageous pricing does not include cake, utensils or cake plates. They also are not licensed to allow you to take home any of your "all you can eat" food. SO...for an outrageously priced party: no hostess, VERY limited gaming, malfunctioning bowling lanes, pay for guests who aren't even there AND they try to throw out food that you paid for. Fun place but NOT AT ALL worth the price! Will NEVER have a party here again!!Visited May 2018Traveled with familyWritten May 20, 2018
- Galina R.5 contributionsBad customer service and clueless stuff!!!We booked a 3 hour party for 20 kids at Round1 in Mentor mall. It started off very bad. The party was supposed to start at 4 pm but the room and the cards weren't ready until 4:30 pm. All parents came up to me in confusion asking if they should give their kids some money to play. The food was supposed to be all-you-can-eat and we were told that our host would come into the room every 10 minutes to check if we needed anything, bring new pizza and refill drinks. No one came into the room to serve the party. The food was not bad but they kept running out of pizza, drinks, cups and plates. I had to go to the front desk every time we ran out of things and wait in the line. My adult guests also had to help me managing everything. Round1 did not provide the forks and the plates for the cake. So I had to go to a nearby store to buy them. They did not provide any help with managing and organizing kids. I was running around the place gathering kids up for bowling, food, cake and just making sure they were all OK. There are multiple open exits in the building with no security personal at the doors. If parents drop their kids off and leave, it's basically your responsibility to watch the kids and make sure nothing happens to them. Imagine watching 20 kids who are running around that huge place. I could not relax for a second! Couple adults bought a glass of wine and a glass of beer in the bar and then took it with them into the party room to drink and socialize with others. Several managers walked into the room telling us that we were not allowed to bring the alcohol into the party room and that they were recording us on video camera. One of the managers said they would kick us out of the place if we didn't follow their rules. After that confrontation the barman refused to sell the alcohol to my guests even if they sat at the bar! No one at my party was drunk and no one needed to be restricted! At one point a security guy came into the room and asked my cousin what he was drinking (he was drinking sprite from a cup I bought). I paid about $500 for this party. Instead of watching the kids, Round1 was watching the adults and it made me feel like I was stealing from them. By the way there are no signs notifying the customers that Round1 has video surveillance in the party room. They should have been super apologetic for the bad service from the very start. Instead the management was very rude and totally ruined it for us. I will never set my foot in that place.Visited January 2019Traveled with familyWritten January 6, 2019
- Jessica WWickliffe, Ohio5 contributionsSad management. Sad bowling. We came here on a Friday night with friends and the lanes are completely awful. Pins were screwed up, scores were messed up, etc. We got vouchers for free bowling due to the issues which was a nice gesture. However - Just used the vouchers on a Wednesday at 3pm, and had issues again after paying $8 for shoes. The manager Dave asked his coworker —- in front of us ——- which lane was good to give us because “every lane wad screwed up.” He essentially admitted every lane was awful but we were getting the “best one”... After editing every frame up to the fourth, and waiting 7 min for technical support despite 3 other people being in the place (and no other bowlers), we had had it and just asked for our money back for our shoes as we no longer wanted to sit there and edit our scores for 6 more frames... after asking, the manager became very defensive and said his tech guy (same as before) would have to see the lane before giving us our money back. My times is more caluable than that so I advised him to keep the money, but regardless of what his “tech” guy said, he admitted the lane was messed up upon our arrival. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Bowling is AWFUL and the games are a waste of money. Go to Play or D&B in Westlake, this place is a complete joke.Visited November 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten November 28, 2018
- Relax335121946721 contributionDon’t waste your moneyWent to establishment on a Wednesday afternoon for games and bowling. First game, air hockey... should just call it hockey because it was lacking all of the air. Waste of credits, which are not cheap at all. Claw machines that don’t grab at 2.25 per play. More of a pushing machine rather than claw grabbing. Bowling is just as bad. Overheard management talking about lane malfunctions... had to edit score multiple times and it seemed like once you edited it once, the machine would only get worse. Was told by maintenance that I would have to replay my 3rd frame. I got 9 pins down with the 9th pin still standing. I’ve worked in a bowling ally and you can manually load the cage and set the pins as you wish. We were the only bowlers!!!! Should have been a clear hint. I glanced at the menu and saw overpriced Chick-fil-A prices attached to BK chicken nugget quality. Go to Play in Mayfield (which sucks also but the games are cheaper and food is pretty good) or Rollhouse in Wickliffe. They’re renovating game room and bowling is always solid.Visited November 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten November 29, 2018
- Gwenette HCleveland, Ohio62 contributionsbirthday outingThis was my first time at this establishment, it is spacious and room enough for someone in a wheel chair to get around. The games were fun, staff was helpful in setting you with a card and any other questions you may have. My only drawback is the time limit they put on the games. Even if you are winning it will cut you off. I guess this is how they make their money, us having to keep refilling our cards but the timing on the games are to short and the credits you have to use for each game even children games are very high. So you do run out quicklyVisited November 2019Written November 25, 2019

We played bowling and their was a glitch in the system, the bowling balls would constantly get stuck and it wouldn't clear the pins off the lane, this happened multiple times and we had to call for assistance 4 or 5 times. Overall the bowling was a terrible experience and when we asked for a refund they just have us bowling vouchers.

Wow there are so many complaints here.
First of all, if you enjoy arcades you will love it here. A ton of variety in the types of games to play. Decent sized bowling alley too.
If you're a couple and enjoy having fun take your girl and she'll love it.
Complaining about the claw machines? They have signs posted on every one of them telling you how to win the prize inside. And if your plush gets stuck just ask for help, someone will come reset it for you. My wife and I won 8 plushes for around $100. $12 a plush isn't that bad, especially for the quality.
Yes, you will drop some money here, but that is what arcades are. Go, have fun. Your kids will love it. Great for a fun date night. No reason not to have fun!

Rude people who work the desk downstairs. They lie and say all the bowling lanes are broken. Wait 2 hours and they somehow “forget” to put you on the wait list even tho you filled out a paper. Managers don’t address any issues. Not even an apology for my son who waited so patiently to bowl. Don’t waste your money here.
