The water park was great!! The kids, ages 11,8,5 and 4, thoroughly enjoyed their time. All areas within the water park aside from restroom/shower area was exceptionally clean. The restroom/shower area had trash and was super slippery, which is to be expected given every coming in is wet! You just have to be extra careful not to fall. Had an extra expense that was not expected upon arrival, booked a room that was for 4-6 people, and had to pay extra for water park passes over 4 people. Room temperature was hard to regulate, bathroom was very small within the room, however the room itself was very spacious and super clean! Overall great trip to end out Christmas weekend.

Never again. Check in slow as Christmas. Common area too small. Lack of stairs/elevator space made getting to room time consuming. Paper thin walls in rooms. We could hear people in hallways and could not sleep. No fitted sheets on beds. Only good thing bed was comfortable. Definitely not worth price. Masks required and staff emphasized and not the friendliest if seen without one. We went to a Great Wolf in Colorado and it was amazing. This one in Ohio not even close.

My husband waited in line for 40 minutes to get our wristbands, even though we pre checked in online. We had never been here before and didn't know the process. He came out with our wristbands and said no one told him where to go or what to do now. I didn't want him to wait through that line again, so I called customer service, told the lady we had wristbands but didn't know where to go from here. The customer service representative looked up our reservation and told us we were in room 2104, the room was ready, and we needed to go back to the front desk to get a "room key". So we waited back in line another 30 minutes only for the front desk to tell us our wristbands unlock the door. Very frustrating. We still had no idea how to get to room 2104 and walked all over the lodge with 3 suitcases and 2 kids looking for it. Asked 2 staff members, I think one was a housekeeper, and even they couldn't help stating " I don't know. I get lost in here myself". Finally found someone who directed us down a hallway that said "Conference Center" to get to our room. Very confusing and frustrating. Finally get settled and head to the water park. Much smaller than expected. We had only been to Kalahari before this, so probably wouldn't have felt that way had we not been there before. We were already aware that the hot tub was closed because is was listed on the website before booking. What wasn't listed was that Coyote Cannon was closed. My daughter was looking forward to this one the most. For the price I paid to stay here for not even a full 24 hours even with a late check out that I also paid for, I would expect everything to be working, especially if it is listed as working and "included" on your website. Another husband woke up with a back ache. Not used to sleeping on those beds. He decided to take a hot bath to help. NO hot water. Luke warm at best. In regards to cleanliness, the top of the stairs where you get on the water coaster and family raft ride...REEKED like urine. At first I though one of the little kids around had soiled themselves, but it smelled the exact same when we went up again with different people around. And it smelled the exact same when we came back the following day. Someone obviously peed right there and it had not been cleaned up. I tried to tell the woman working those slides, but she did not seem to understand what I was saying (language barrier). And again, I felt frustrated. I did not voice these fustrations to the front desk or any staff member. I knew it was not their fault and didn't want to get rude with anyone who didn't deserve it. It was just a multitude of things that all came together to make this experience less than favorable for us. We will not return. I hope you all can take this info into consideration for future guests.

We have been to GWL in Va, Wa, and Tx this by far is the most run down. Lots of up dating would be nice, lots of rust on slides and ladders, tons of dust in lobby rooms where dusty

We were staying the weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge, and we were able to partake of some of the different activities that they offered. My wife and younger daughter spent some time at the water park on a couple different days, and they really enjoyed the various water slides available. My older daughter and I spent a few hours playing their MagiQuest game, which was fun but in serious need of cleaning and repair (i.e., multiple things weren't working correctly).

We checked out the arcade, which had the standard overpriced games that grant tickets. A lot of fun for the kids to play, but fun was short lived as credits were quickly used up. We also spent some time in the stores and shops, which were also on the pricier albeit not unreasonable side. We did purchase a Paw Pass prior to arrival, which did provide some extra value, but it seemed somewhat limited compared to some of the other GWL locations that we’ve visited in the past.

Biggest concern/complaint would be the lack of actual COVID safety precautions that were in place. Guests needed to sign an attestation at check-in, but there were very few actual practices in place and little to no enforcement.

The check in was quick and friendly. Our loft suite was clean and easy to find. The Disney Channel was available on the tv which, was a great thing for our kids! We bought the birthday package and was happy with the cake, pizza and $40 arcade card included.
The attendants in the water park were friendly. Overall we were very happy with our stay and already booked our next stay!

Mostly for little kids. Almost all staff were very unfriendly/rude. Hardly any place to sit and eat; and NO restaurants on site deliver to your room. Inconvenient to say the least, especially given the cost of being there. Definitely won't be going back. If you want a better water park experience, King's Island is next door

The staff is so friendly and welcoming! It rained during our stay, but because everything is indoors our trip wasn't affected by the weather! The kids were excited to swim and spent the entire trip in the water park. Check in was quick and easy and I can't wait to bring my family back to the water park next year.

My first impression was that it is beautiful from the outside. Inside, it looked rather dated. Cheap faded carpet. Magi quest attractions along the hallways looked painfully old and covered in sticky stuff (not uncommon with children)
The room (loft) was awesome once we got the stale smell out of it by opening the balcony door.
I was seriously disappointed in the water park. It was dirty. First day It was packed to the brim with people. The next day there weren’t as many people. Great, right? Nope. They shut down half the water attractions and condensed the crowd back to being elbows and a$$ holes. Nothing really adult oriented to do... the wave pool was either packed full or closed due to “accidents” and then opened an hour later??? It made me feel like I was swimming in diaper water the rest of the time I was there.
Build a bear was fun if you like $50 Teddy bears. We do. lol
The arcade was expensive but by far the best thing to do. 3 machines that have claws are bogus and don’t even close tho... bs but it’s all about cashing in I guess. Breakfast buffet was horrible the first day, wonderful the second. Appreciated the fresh fruit cups and yogurt granola cups.
Magi quest had at least One broken item, but the kids had a blast doing it. Thanks to magi quest there was always something to do. I highly recommend it if you’re going to go.
Buckets in the water park is a trap! It smells so good to hungry bellies. And it’s actually decent food! Expensive tho.
Even if you buy the paw pass and dining plans you’re still gonna pay big bucks.... there’s not a good deal in sight. Everything is overpriced. Think $15 alcoholic drinks and $3 20oz waters. The pizza place is the only place somewhat reasonable. Every convenience has a price tag. Even if you bring a pool towel to your room they charge you $10-$15 per towel.
Overall the kids had a blast (only because we had a good amount of money set back to go all out) I’m not sure a budgeted adventure here would go over as well.
For me, it wasn’t worth the price tag. The only thing keeping me from being disgusted is the fact that the kids had so much fun. I brought my bf my three kids and niece and nephew and dropped $2500 on two nights (1500 for room 900 ish for arcade build a bear candy and dinners )
The wrist bands are wonderful! They’re your hotel key and your charge card! Super convenient

I wasn't going to do a review since I was taken care of before check out on the several room issues. But Kim at the front desk talking in circles just changed that. Good luck getting a hold of corporate. I used my debit card for the $100 hold to be placed on, no biggie. There system actually sends it through never heard or had that happen considering how much I travel. So Kim wanted to keep talking in circles so as she was on her same circle for the 3rd time and the second time I asked make sure there's no charges coming out of it because the junk towels you get at the water park they charge $15 a piece for. That's the only thing I can think would be charge if they all had not been taken down from the 3 rooms I had. So as shes in her 3rd circle of explaining if nothing had been charged to the room it would be refunded( instead of looking at reservation and saying, looks good you'll see the full amount refunded) I raised my voice from lack of listening and doing her job. I get "your not yelling at me when I'm trying to help you" and hung up. Now they won't answer my number. I was getting zero help i was getting the generic spill that you get when your hoping a guest will say ok and not expect you to do your job. So thanks Kim for lack of help and rather you don't know how to do your job or just don't want to. You'd be fired from my staff. Btw I've only written 1 other bad review on a hotel and it was between 7-10 yrs ago so that should tell you something
