    Great Experience
King's Island is awesome. I recommend the fast lane passes, as it allows you to skip the long lines on a lot of the rides and roller coasters. It's a little expensive, but you can literally get off the ride, and go right back to the front of the line. The longest we've had to wait with fast lane passes for any ride was like 10 minutes maybe?. Only because on some days there may be a lot of other people that purchase them. Also I recommend to get the all day premium dining pass. It allows you to eat every 90 minutes and it includes drinks with the meals that you can get every 15 minutes. It pays for it self after 2 meals, and works at any restaurant or food shop they have. Also get the fun pictures (fun pix). This allows you to get as many pictures you want on the rides that offer them, that goes on a digital card, that's waterproof, that you can download later at any time.

Great Way to Entertain The Kids (or to have a fun date night)
We live nearby and always enjoy our time at KI. The lines aren't awful compared to other parks, and the rides are great. Food is a bit pricey but not exorbitantly so, and the meal pass is a great add-on to the season pass if it's within budget. Our kids have them and make good use of them.

Great park, but a little too strict with the rules.
I loved the park, but there were some things I disliked. When I visited the park someone else gave me free tickets, which was a great start to my day since we didn’t have extra money and the entry tickets would have costed us probably $150+. My mom and I both got fast passes and went to go and put our stuff in our locker. When we walked around the park we noticed something interesting. A lot of the roller coasters had a scary theme to it but the park name was called “Kings Island” which wasn’t very fitting. I know the history behind the park and why it was named, but they couldn’t have at least sticked with naming a few of the rides after the park name? Now I didn’t necessarily dislike this, but I found it odd. Another thing I do understand is the staff having to be strict. I completely understand with guests sometimes being uncooperative when bringing cell phones on roller coasters when it is against the parks rules and other people fighting at the park, but this park took strictness to a new level. When I was riding the Beast I took my sunglasses on the ride and the ride operator thought I was wearing “recording sunglasses”? I have heard of it before, but my glasses did not really look like recording sunglasses. There were plenty of other people bringing sunglasses on the roller coaster as well, but the ride operator went straight up to me and asked me specifically. That was what in my opinion ruined part of the experience for me. Overall, the park is pretty good and their roller coasters were good. It’s just their staff seemed a little too strict which took away from the experience.

    Helpful Hints!
Things I wish we had known beforehand: 1. The lockers. We rented a locker on dry land and apparently we both misunderstood the directions. The rental was for two hours. It stated it’s an additional $2 per hour over. Since we paid by credit card, we assumed it would automatically charge the card until we came back to the locker. Wrong. After the two hours we were no longer able to access the locker and had to get a supervisor who had to get an additional staff member and there was paperwork involved. They were very helpful and we were able to retrieve our items, but no, it will not automatically charge you additional time. The lockers at the waterpark can be rented all day. 2. Drink pass. You will go to most of the drink stands to get your wristband. Once you get the wristband, you were able to either fill up a souvenir cup or a paper cup. As someone else recommended get the paper cup. It is enough to drink and you don’t have to tote the cup around. 3. Unlike some parks this park does not offer free sunscreen. Bring your own. 4. The Phantom of the Theatre show was good. It was 25 minutes in a nicely air-conditioned theater. When you enter the theater, go to the first few rows of seats on the left side facing the stage. A lot of things go on in that area during the show. The park is very clean and the staff is friendly. We recommend!

    Great and fun park!
We love very close to Cedar Point and it’s considered our home park but Kings Island is killing it lately and slowly becoming our favorite amusement park. It’s well run, the ride ops are great and it’s a very clean park. Only downside is the food options arent up to par to with Cedar Point but other than that it’s a great time always.

    Great Girl Scout day trip!
We took our high school age Girl Scout troop on a three day adventure in Cincinnati, and of course we had to go to Kings Island! We had a great day. Love that Soak City is included, it was hot and we were able to cool off all afternoon then return to the main park for more rides in the evening. Food is very costly, plan accordingly. Most meals were around $25 per person. Drinks are $5-$6. Kings Island has great roller coasters and plenty for everyone to do.

    Kings Island
Kings Island was awesome. We took my 9 year old son, 12 year old daughter and niece and nephew. They had a good time we were there from Monday evening to Thursday afternoon. We didn't even want to leave after 4 days! They line weren't long and all the rides were working while we were there. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Notable places to Eat--My List from a Regular Visitor
Some comments on the good places to eat. Sometimes it's hard to get a good healthy salad. Check out the Miami River Brewhouse "KI salad". It's better than Panera Bread. They also have a nice BLT sandwich and other choices. Check out the Chicken Shack for always good chicken tenders and not bad fries. Good size portions too. This is also at the Island Smokehouse where you can get Shrimp also. Do you like EXCELLENT ice cream as some of the best in the country? Graeters along the main entrance. Do you like Mexican food? Check out the newest area improved Mexican restaurant Enrique's where some people report its better than Chipolte's. Like excellent fries? Try Potato Works. The Grain and Grill and Meteor Canteen are good choices too for something different. In my opinion, avoid the Panda Express as it's average and not as good as outside KI. LaRosa's is Cincinnati area pizza--it's ok if you like Cincinnati pizza. Skyline Chilli is Cincinnati area chili but in my opinion at KI it's not as good as in the regular restaurant. One last tip: If you plan on attending more than a few times on a season pass buy the season pass meal plan. Pay once and the rest of the visits eat for "free".

    Kings Island-Winterfest review
I had a good time, but not sure it was worth the price. $30 for a ticket is one thing, but then another $30 for parking is insane. Especially for an event where very few rides are open because of the time of year. The park decor in lights was lovely, the parade was fun and there was at least 1 free event included (make your own ornament). Unfortunately there were a lot of add on $ activities, ice skating, cookie decorating, etc. More should be included for that price tag. I saw one character out for a photo op. A couple good coasters were open, otherwise it's mostly the kiddie rides and ones not affected by low temperatures. There were a few opportunities to see some musical performances throughout the park throughout the night, but it does get pretty cold and there aren't warming options unless you're inside somewhere.

The amusement park side of King's Island is great! This review is just for the waterpark. Two very important things to note before coming to the waterpark: #1 you will not be allowed to go on many of the rides if your bathing suit has any metal on it (e.g. a swimsuit top's clasp), so make sure you check for that. I'm sure this is mentioned in the fine print somewhere when you buy the tickets, but I didn't see it and I saw many get turned away because of this rule. #2 you must buy the Fast Lane Plus pass to get any fast lane benefits (also not clear on the website at all), but it's totally not worth it if you are just going for the water park. The way they design the slide lines barely makes the lines faster for the majority of the park and it doesn't work for all the rides making the extra $85 per person totally not worth it. It seemed like the park would be very fun for younger kids, but it lacks any actually thrilling rides, except for the big yellow and blue one, which always has a 2 hour line. I would only go again to cool off if I was already going to ride roller coasters.

We live close enough to get a season pass and dining plan. If we attend 3 times/yr we break even. We don't have to cram everything into one exhausting day. We can spend a whole day at the water park, come after work, eat 2x, 4 hrs. apart, and of course we always come to Winterfest. We brought our kids when they were toddlers, thru their teens, and now we go with our adult kids and toddler grandkids. It's GR8 FUN!

The last time I was at Winterfest was almost 30 years ago. I know they did not have it for many years and I was excited that it returned. I remember many rides being open back then including freezing my face on the Beast. This time I felt that it was lacking. The only large ride that was open was Mystic Timbers, which had an hour plus wait. They did have a few smaller rides open, but we expected more. I do blame myself since I neglected to check to see what was open. There were many decorations and entertainers, ice skating on International Street, and other seasonal offerings. We got a good discount on admission since our teenage son has a season pass, however we'll probably do something else next year.

My husband and I purchased tickets online for FearFest 2021 in advance, paying $128.99. Shortly afterward, my aunt died and the funeral and family gathering was planned for the same day we'd planned on going to FearFest. Because we could not use the tickets we hoped to get a refund, and contacted Kings Island by email (through their website) and calling customer service (I was told 'the CS manager was out to lunch' and would call me back-- never did). No-one ever contacted us so our money was lost. They should have at least replied to me, and they need a policy where a refund can be issued when something of this nature occurs. Terrible customer service!

Had Never been. Took my daughter and grandson. Beautiful day. He turned 11 years old. They loved the roller coasters. Drink wrist band is well worth it. Way too much to do in one day. Will definitely bring him back but maybe with a friend. Food a little expensive. But had to have some LaRosa’s pizza. 24$ for 4 slices of pepperoni pizza. I bought our tickets on line at a discount web site and got drink arm bands free plus a 5$ discount on admissions. Very good deal.

We are seasoned amusement park people and have season passes to both Six Flags and Cedar Fair. We have visited Kings Island in the past and have always had good experiences there, but not this last visit.

I tried to call the customer service line before we arrived at the park to get two questions answered. After 45 minutes on hold, the call was disconnected. By this time I was at the park and now I would have to take time out of enjoying the park and stop in at guest services to get my questions answered. While guest services did help, the woman who helped me made excuses about the long wait time on the phone. Well, that does not help me and makes me feel not valued as a customer.

I then sent an email when I got home and did get a call back from someone at Kings Island about 2 days later but missed the call. It then took 3, yes 3 days of calling to get to a live person to tell them I missed the call. I did get a call from someone in management the next day who did nothing but make excuses about the long wait on the customer service line "We don't have enough people, many people are calling about making reservations, etc". Again, none of this addresses the fact that I had to take time out of enjoying the park in order to get my questions answered. This is totally unacceptable.

I expect this kind of attitude from Six Flags, but not from a manager at a Cedar Fair park. I have premium season passes for Cedar Fair and am rethinking now if I am going to renew them.

Hats off to Kings Island and their handling of COVID-19 guidelines. I was very skeptical purchasing tickets during COVID-19 but we wanted to ride Orion so we decided to roll the dice. Couldn’t of made a better decision. The park associates ensure rides are properly sanitized every 30 minutes while enforcing the their COVID policies. It didn’t take away from the experience at all. They want everyone to wear a mask at all times but they understand it might come off during certain rides. They even have relax zones where you don’t have to wear a mask.

Kings Island is the worst theme park ever. Stay away. Staff was s rude. They advertise a Halloween Haunt and instead of 8 to 10 attractions like normal they have 5 and they charge you the full price. Then they advertise fright one passes but instead of selling them in the park you have to buy them online or you can't get them. Then I'm at a funnel cake booth and observer them turning away 2 children with cash. The cashier proceeds to tell them they are totally cashless even though there was nothing at the time on the web site. What a horrible excuse for a park.

We are platinum pass holders with full meal and drink plans and full season fast lane plus. Food service on May 8, 2021 was a disaster. Largest lines I've ever seen at every single food service station. The park reported slow credit card system. But the issue I saw was with service. It literally took ten minutes to serve each customer, notwithstanding the payment process. This occurred at multiple locations. Having to spend hours and hours waiting for meals defeats the purpose of paying for fast lane plus. I hope this is just working out early season bugs. If not, it it going to be a major guest service headache for the park
