About
Little Buckeye Children's Museum is a hands-on children's museum located in Downtown Mansfield. With over 2 dozen exhibits, Little Buckeye is an ideal location for group and family visits by children ages 2-10 years. At Little Buckeye, we know that exploration and play are critical to child development. We also know that play benefits children socially, emotionally and intellectually! We understand that not every child gets the opportunity to play in a safe and creative environment. Little Buckeye Children's Museum is proud to provide that opportunity. Our museum features interactive exhibits that encourage curiosity and creativity. You can shop for groceries in the Little Stoodt's Market, perform on stage at the Little Ren Theatre, play teacher in the one-room Schoolhouse, go camping in the Nature Room and so much more!

There are so many activities kids are bound to have some fun things to try out. There are two floors. We stayed for about 2 hours. My little guy especially liked the water connector, the stage, the rubber ducks, Mr. Potato head, the Lego wall and the dentist office.

We would really love to see things spruced up a bit. Everything was rather banged up and worn.

Such a great place to let kids play and use their imagination. Several kids areas on two floors that will keep the kids occupied for hours. Visited here on President Day and it was busy but the space was large enough to accommodate the crowds.

Stayed for 2 hours and would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for other plans we had. My daughter wanted to keep performing on the stage (her favorite play area of them all)

It’s 9 dollars a person and some would say its expensive. I would disagree with that. For the amount of play areas you get, the price is worth it. Plus seeing your child play and use their imagination is worth it.

Highly recommend this place for kids especially on a rainy or winter day.

We have a three-year-old and twin 1 1/2 year olds. This place was perfect for them! It's like a house full of toys set up in different stations for learning. I think maybe some of the other reviewers that didn't like it either had older children or didn't understand the purpose of a children's museum. If you want teaching, you're looking for another kind of place.

This is a place that has a lot of toys and activities. For instance, there is a water table, a farm area, a police station, a dentist's office, a dinosaur dig area, a beauty shop, a grocery store, a construction area, a model train area, Etc. They are all for role-playing! There's a ton of toys, rouchables, tools, etc. Small children love it and ours ABSOLUTELY did. We spent three or four hours and they were very upset to leave when it closed!

This is not the place for a one-time, large family visit. 4 kids, 1 parent, 2 grandparents, was nearly $60. There is no elevator, and the grandparents could not handle the stairs. This limited the play to the first floor. We were there for 2 hours. There was a special event in the evening, but that would have required a 2nd admission fee. Honestly, it was a terrible value for us. My mini-engineer spent 40 minutes figuring out if he could fix the broken bank teller station. It's definitely not a "museum", and there's not the educational angle like COSI. If you are a local, have really young kids, and have a family membership, I can see it as a hang-out alternative to McDonald's playland. That said, it's our 2nd visit: the first and last.

The price wasnt to bad. I was upset that the adults had to pay admission also just to babysit all children present. It was a good experience of teaching for the kids but there was no employee anywhere in site supervising or teaching things. It was more of a free for all.

We have a grandparent membership and enjoy taking our grandchildren there. There are so many interesting exhibits and the kids have a great time. So often, the Little Buckeye has new exhibits and the children have their favorites as well.

We have 4 kids 8 month old, 3 and 4 year old and an 11 year old. There is something to do for all ages. A small area for my 8 month old to climb around. The entire place is great for my 3 and 4 year old, they run crazy. And even my 11 year old has fun. They have a scavenger hunt for the older ones too.

Little Buckeye is a fantastic play museum for children. My 2-year-old grandson absolutely loves to go. In fact, “Buckeye” was one of the first words he learned to say. The environment is bright and colorful with exhibits that appeal to all kinds of interests from the train area to the bank area, beauty salon, automotive repair, physics, water play, etc. As a retired elementary teacher, I value the creative play opportunities that Little Buckeye affords pre-school and early elementary children. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I cannot overstate how much we have enjoyed our visits!

My daughter, fourteen month old granddaughter and I drove two hours to visit this museum and were not disappointed! Unassuming on the outside, once you enter the front door, prepare to be amazed! Two floors and over twenty five different play areas! My granddaughter was entranced with the grocery store area. Complete with heavy duty miniature shopping carts, tons of “food” to choose from, grocer aprons and a check out area with cash register and “scanner,” she could easily stay occupied for hours! In fact, when we left for lunch and a walk to the Richland Carousel, she threw her first temper tantrum - lol! We walked to the Coney Island Diner and the carousel (an easy walk within a block) and then returned to the museum for more fun. There are so many areas to choose from - a bank, a vet, a beauty shop, a dentist, a theater with dress up clothes, a school, a train set, airplane, climbing area, a digging area, a water station, coloring area, reading area and so much more. You could easily spend hours here or, even a full day. The staff were so friendly. We are already planning another visit with the other Grand babies!
