I was very disappointed in what I was seeing there was only a couple of areas or displays that were educational and worth seeing the listing of the Renaissance heroes while it was very one-sided towards a Protestant Christian attitude the displays outside of the area were very informative but when I asked where they came from they sidestep the issue because I think most of them were from Roman Catholic religion churches. But they didn't want to bring that up . I went to see three of the tours .the life of Jesus Christ was such a fake they showed him they said it with the costumes were supposed to be real but the way they interpreted Jesus was the old fashioned movie version with the flowing hair and beard. He never would have worn the type of clothes that they depicted them in. Most of the stuff was just basically Bible verses being recitated back to you.

Dear Visitor, Of course we are sorry that your visit disappointed you. Since the Holy Bible is what Biblewalk is all about, it is not surprising that if you are not interested in the Bible, you would not be interested in our tours! Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful summer!

The Biblewalk is a place that will always have a special place in my memories. As a young kid we would travel around 2 hours to go here on occasion and it always thrilled me and burned the stories into my mind.
Why 3 stars then, you may wonder.
-First, let me say some positives. The museum is situated in a very peaceful country setting beside a rather large church. It's literally right down the road from the famous Mansfield Reformatory. We went on a Thursday and it seemed almost desolate as there were so few people there. The workers were very nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the artwork and exhibits in the museum. I don't know if it's every Thursday or if it was just a special day when we went, but the kids were free that day which was really nice. You may want to call ahead when planning and see if that's a common thing as it may prove financially beneficial. While in the second part of this review I'll have more to say about the displays themselves, I will say that you can tell a lot of work did go into this project and it is near and dear to a lot of hearts. Read the countless other reviews to see how this has impacted people's lives and you can get a glimpse into the benefit of such a museum.
-So then, why 3 out 5 stars? The old axiom about returning to childhood books or games as an adult and ruining the magic is one that may apply here. While it had literally been decades since I had been to the museum before our recent visit, it seemed as though every exhibit remained untouched. Updates seemed non-existent. The audio that played for every scene was word for word straight from the old KJV and was so quiet that I resorted to just telling the stories to my kids myself. Speaking of kids, if you have really young ones then the dark halls, mannequins in the dark, and one particular scene involving Lot's wife (which is quite entertaining as an adult) may been pure nightmare fuel for the youngin's. We also discovered while being there that they had added two new exhibits: The Kingdom of God and the story of the Apostle Paul. While a mature couple without kids may altogether enjoy these exhibits, we found them to be repetitive of the scenes in the other exhibits about Jesus' life and the one about Paul to be, frankly, rather bland. I'm not here to bad-mouth the Biblewalk at all. It was a sincerely sweet walk down memory lane. I'm just giving an honest review. I have to say that to a certain extent I believe our modern culture of movies, TV, and video games have made our imaginations work over time in order to produce the slightest sense of awe and that may just be what is happening here.
-In conclusion, I would just simply say that I struggle to understand the complete purpose of the museum. If it is be a witnessing tool then updates to language, audio, sets and immersion would go a long, long way. If it's to "edify the saints", then it doesn't go deep enough as each story is brief and to the point (for those fluent in the King's English, that is). As we walked out to our car, I began to understand why the parking lot was so empty and so few were there. It would have almost been nicer to see the content from the two new exhibits added to the older ones to freshen them up. I hate to discourage people away from this because Bible museums are so few and far between, but hopefully going forward the owners can begin to see a need for investing in the museum's content. There is a ton of potential here and for an empty weekend it can make for unique and wholesome entertainment.

Well researched and displayed. This museum has integrity and a sound theological base. Even serious students of the Bible and church history will find it informative and inspiring, unlike the gaudy and off-putting Creation Museum in Kentucky. The museum offers several self-guided tours and one can spend 3 hours or just an hour there. Plus there are odd Bible paraphernalia from across the globe. Don’t be put off by the bleached out silk flowers and older carpeting. . . This museum is well worth stopping in.

Stopped here on a road trip and so glad we did. I have actually never visited a Christian themed attraction but the quality and detail in the wax sculptures was amazing from an artistic perspective. The staff are super friendly and the museum is divided into shorter 30 min sections which makes it super manageable for a short visit if you just want to get a feel for things. I recommend going with another person as some of the exhibits are very isolated and dark kind of like the House of Wax Films though again everyone is super friendly and it seemed very safe but I visited close to Halloween so the films were top of mind

My mother, sisters and I came to Mansfield, OH specifically to visit this exhibit. We are so glad we did!

They are just re-opening from state mandates, so the hours are limited. We were the only ones there at the time we visited, but noticed that they have parking for tour buses and a good parking area for vehicles.

We only had time for one tour. We did not have a tour guide, but enjoyed the figures and learned things from the *speaker*.

The detail in costuming and sets were well-done. The lighting had been carefully thought out also to highlight the different scenes.

This exhibit is great for all ages. My mother used a wheel-chair provided by the facility. There is seating also around the exhibit(s) if needed.

We wish them the very best and hope they have large crowds as the state reopens. We would definitely go back and spend more time as future trips allow!

Our guide, Marilyn, took us on two journeys. One through the miracles of the Old Testament and one through the Life of Christ. Marilyn was super informative and passionate. Can’t wait to go by again so that we can do some of their other tours, they are even adding a 6th tour soon!

We appreciate your review, John, and couldn't agree more. It is God's Word that is alive forever, so much so that we can feel it. The Holy Spirit waits for our invitation, then when asked He teaches us about Jesus, about God the Father, and about ourselves! All we do here at Biblewalk is proclaim the Word in a form everyone understands. Thanks for posting!

We visited during the week and there was no one else on the tour with us. We chose to see the life of Jesus. The wax sculptures are well done and the detail in the costumes and the murals are well done.

Thanks for your visit and review. Many people find the tour brings a peace into their soul, especially if they visit on a weekday when there are fewer groups. A walk through the Life of Christ all alone can be a time of contemplation and prayer. Jesus meets us where we are.!!

We are so glad your children enjoyed Biblewalk. If you think about it children are closer to God than we adults. They simply believe!
