Interesting place to spend an hour.
This was a fun side trip for an hour. We enjoyed a detailed tour of the place, learning some history and seeing how moonshine is made. Then we moved on to tasting and sampled some delicious moonshine concoctions. We purchased the bourbon and some BBQ sauce. Overall a positive time.

    Sample Flavored Moonshine
We stopped in since we were next door at 58 West to sample the moonshine. They offer eight total, each person is allowed to taste up to four at $1 per taste. Between the two of us, we tried all of them. The four flavored were the best of any of them.

This place is so cool and free tours were available! Employee Brian showed us the equipment and process and I preferred this over the couple of similar such places in Gatlinburg that we visited. My opinion is that it smells and tastes better than the other mentioned.
Ask him about New Straitsville Special moonshine he had a lot of cool history information about it!

Was a super hot day so this was one of our "inside" attractions for the day. Super friendly staff with a nice little tour of the place. You see how it starts and ends right down to the packaging. We sampled several and the blackberry was our favorite.

Nice place. Can't wait to try their Moonshine Slushies when the bar opens. Fun little area and interesting tour of moonshine. I was new to moonshine and the flavors are awesome. Tasting was a fun experience.

I’m not at all going be negative about this place-it’s a nice, small, upstart local distillery. Friendly staff, some good choices of moonshine for sure. If you aren’t familiar with the distilling process, they show you the basics of how it’s done-especially on the smaller scale. I hope that they will be able to get to the same level as Old Smokey someday and really put themselves on the map!
So, why only 3 stars? The Bourbon. We are real bourbon drinkers of all kinds, and can safely say that we know our stuff from the cheap mixers to the higher end whiskeys. Hocking Hills offers a bourbon aged only 2 years for $51.99 a bottle…And after tasting it, we both agreed that on the open market it would be a $20-$25 bottle for mixing-not drinking neat or on the rocks alone. Yes, this is a smaller place and they do t have the big production. But, for a 2 year age-it’s overpriced in our opinion.
Again, nice local place. Fine staff. Good ‘shines. Stop if you are in town.

My husband and I stopped in for a tour and sample tasting of the different flavors of moonshine. We really enjoyed our time. The owners are friendly and the moonshine was tasty. We enjoyed the "Peach Tea" flavor the most. This company is growing quickly and I highly recommend you stop in and visit while they still have the "local" feel and friendly attitude.

My son and I stopped in after our hiking trip. Its always a fun trip to have someone go on the tour for the first time. I picked up a shot glass this time. We are excited to hear they are about to have their first run of bourbon. Can't wait to try.

Got the tour. Staff was friendly and nice. Fun little stop. Peach flavor was the best. Amazing how much they do with a smaller team.

Stopped here on a whim because it was open later than most stores. We were offered a "tour", which was not extensive. Still the ladies were interested in sharing the story of their business and answering questions. You can have up to 4 tastings for $1.00 each. Kind of steep, but understandable since they are still kind of in "start up" mode. We really liked the granny smith apple moonshine with a little caramel flavor for good measure. Blackberry was a winner too.
