I highly recommend this guided fishing experience! Jim Stratton set up our belly boat bass fishing adventure online and Drew met us at the fishing location near Columbus, OH. Private property, so no fishing license required (nice)! This was true "hunting" for bass. Water was deep and gin clear with just sparse weed cover on the edges of the pond that we fished. We followed instructions on operating the belly boats and it was a breeze. We also followed instructions on the technique of drop-shot fishing, but only managed to catch very small bass (ten inches or less) using this technique (but keep reading). Pond was small enough for us to fish the entire shoreline cicumference between 4:15 and 8:15 p.m. I switched to a weightless senko (rigged weedless/Texas style) and focused on the shoreline weedcover. That's when we started catching keeping size bass. First a 13 incher then a 15 incher, and then a reasonably nice 16 incher weighing about two pounds. Our guide Drew immediately switched to a senko and began catching keepers as well. That 16 incher fish was caught at the end of the evening, and, literally, at the spot where we initially deployed the belly boats. That's fishing for ya! Great time; we had the pond to ourselves as no motorized boats are permitted on this private property.

Christian was an amazing guide. He really made us (beginners with minimal experience) feel comfortable throughout the entire trip. He really took his time making sure we were safe and having fun while doing the climbing and rappelling. Overall the experience from the initial phone conversation to the tour was absolutely worth it. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun and exciting experience.

Finding the place to meet was a little challenging. Direction was from the city of Logan and we stayed at the Hocking Hills state park. My suggestion is go the day before to find the meeting place. Thomas was very professional with giving us a rendition of his climbing experience. He is also proficient in medical first aid (not needed). He took the time to explain and teach my grand kids about rock climbing. Spent about 3-4 hours with the kids who had a great time in this activity. Great experience!

Rappeling in Hocking Hills Ohio was overall an awesome experience! Our guide, Lucas, was experienced with rappelling and nature and even taught us about some different plants and birds we encountered. The park is gorgeous and clean from things that shouldn't be there, (like trash or litter). The only critique I have, which I am not sure the Adventure Trekking company can control, is signage in the park. GPS doesn't work, which is fine, I had printed out the maps and directions they emailed but those were not for the direction we came so they didn't end up helping. The park has very little signage for drivers so it can be easy to get lost, but the actual experience and park are amazing and well worth the cost! Definitely recommend!

If you are trying to select an activity in Hocking Hills, select this one.

Lucas was patient, knowledgeable, safe and calming. He’s a true professional. Our whole crew was impressed. He made the aventurine a real joy for the whole group with ages ranging from 9-40s.

It is a beautiful hike with tremendous rappels. I would go tomorrow if I could, the kids would say the same.

Ask for Lucas!

Rappelling was awesome with Lucas! Great young man, truly a professional who made us feel safe and gave us all kinds of knowledge beyond rappelling and nature. He was a perfect guide for my extremely adventurous family and interacted so well with my young adults and husband. They’ve been rock climbing and rappelling for years. They’re always looking for the next thrill and I’m usually the tagalong. Lucas was extremely patient and made me feel very safe. The equipment was in great shape, clean, beautiful scenery and the adventure ran on time. I would do this again! Oh and my family is sky diving next week!

Our kids range from 9 to 17 years old and it's hard to find activities we all enjoy as much as we did this rappelling tour. Our guide was great and it was so helpful to start with a smaller rappels to build up our confidence before rappelling at the waterfall. It was both thrilling and serene at the same time. Highly recommend.

Rappelling was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! Our guide was so helpful and took things at our pace. I know for a fact that I will go back to the Hocking Hills area with the rest of my family and have them do this. I could not recommend this more!!

We had an amazing day of rappelling with our guide Lucas. He was great with our son who is 11 and was a little scared. The rappels in Hocking State Forest are super fun. I highly recommend Trek Network to anyone. They take safety very seriously but also are relaxed enough to have lots of fun on the rocks.
