Quiet hike
Sep 2020 • Friends
Lovely hike through the woods and meadows. The trail ran along the shale hollow in places - quite beautiful. My dogs and I had the trail to ourselves almost the whole time.
There's a free-range play area that looks like a blast for kids, but pets aren't allowed there, so I didn't see all of it.

Great park for trail running or letting kids (all ages) explore nature!
Jul 2020 • Family
This park gets busy on Saturday/Sunday afternoons but is pretty quiet during the weekdays. There are several loop trails for walking, trail running, with some good bird watching opportunities in the grassy areas. There main nature center was closed due to COVID-19; however, they had several portable restrooms that were clean and had supplies. The outdoor natural play area is really amazing, bring water shoes and nets for creeking but stay in the designated areas.

Nice park for walking or biking
Jul 2020 • Couples
A nice smaller neighborhood park approximately 210 acreas. It is located in the Lewis Center area behind Ralphs Marina boats. Just off Rt 23.

The park has several trails for walking or biking. There is also a stream that runs thru the park that in most areas is shallow enough for young children to wade in. This stream will empty into to the Olentangy river nearby. The park is mostly wooded with many tall trees close together that allows guest to the park to walk under them with little undergrowth in several areas. They have some small foot bridge along the trails. While walking your seen many round Rock formations, called conerations round sandstone balls. The park has pinic tables in areas. There are 3 parking areas. One area toward the front of the park and 2 connected lots at the back of the park. There is also a building that has inside restrooms and I understand a large area that can be rented for meetings, parties or other occasions. When we were their the building and restrooms were closed. However they had 2 porta of johns near the entrance to the main trail. The park appears to be well maintained.

Nature without the crowds
Jun 2020
Nice place to walk and run, The main trail has a pretty good hill, flat the rest of the way. There are other trails, which are not improved.

Great Park for Kids
May 2020 • Family
This is a great park for kids! There’s not much to the trails, but kids can play in the creek for hours. It’s beautiful and shady. Make sure your kids have water shoes or boots though, and expect them to get a little dirty.

Peaceful Hiking
Dec 2019
This is one of the good hiking trails (I think it is part of the Metro Park system) here on North side of Columbus. One thing I especially like is it is never crowded, parking available.

A Beautiful Park to Go “Creeking!”
Jul 2019 • Family
“Creeking” you ask?! Yes, you can take off your shoes and walk in this shallow cool creek that runs through the park! This park is one of Nature’s relaxing and beautiful hiding places. It is just too beautiful for words to describe. You will be amazed at the shallow, crystal clear water and the historical concretions. It also has hiking trails and a wonderful park building with a variety of great displays. We plan to take our friends from New Jersey there in the fall for a very special shoeless adventure!

A hidden Gem
Sep 2019
I have always seen signs for this park over the years but never really investigated where this park is. It is hidden near a lot of businesses and a residential neighborhood. You could almost think you took a wrong turn, but suddenly, there you are in a beautiful and unique park. It won't take you long to get through this park but there are many unique things here. There is a natural playground that encourages children to play on their own with things found in nature. There is a creek bed that walkable with unique rock formations that honestly look like the Death Star from Star Wars. There is a grass trail with wildflowers as well. This is a great place to take a break from the rat race.

Very nice park. Educational too!
May 2019 • Couples
My hubs and I hiked a 1 mile trail, moderately strenuous. Well layed out trails and scenic. Enjoyed the circle rock formations and learning how they formed thousands of years ago. Will definitely go back. Beautiful!

CREATIONS GALORE !
Aug 2019
This is an amazing preservation park. You stroll through the path that leads to the stream that trickles down. You are standing and walking on giant creations . Others are in the walls of the shale cliffs. It is very peaceful. You hear the sounds of birds in the beautiful trees. There is a little park cabin with educational information. A viewing deck with a picnic table. Good attraction for adults and children.
