The best thing aobut this museum is the open ended opportunities for children to explore. Art, science, architecture, imaginative play... Wide open spaces allowing the mind to create.

My 3 year old grandson loves AlHA. It has been his favorite place to go since he was 2 years old. He loves the new outdoor area. We spent most of the day outside.

I have enjoyed taking my little one to AHA and was thrilled when they opened a new space. With each visit, I have been less and less impressed.

While it is nice to be able to see everything, the open concept means that kids are constantly taking stuff from one exhibit to another, and it doesn’t seem like any worker or volunteers are going around to do routine cleaning/picking up. The space encourages kids to run around and not consider the other and often smaller kids playing, rather than keeping their play contained to the activity center where they are.

Also, I feel their age cut-off for free admittance is unrealistic at 12 months, especially if you have a full paying adult with them. My daughter is 19 months old and was still very limited in the activities in which she could participate, but was charged full child price, plus me as an adult. I really think they should consider raising this age to 2 years old. For what we were able to actually do, I feel that we paid far too much.

Lastly, I feel that they need to start investing in some new exhibits and activities. The ones they have there have been there since the opening and many from the old location. It just seems like it’s time for something new.

It is a good indoor activity for a hot/cold/rainy day. It fills up quickly and becomes quite crowded. It has a lot of different stations and set ups but it only entertained our kids (1,2,and 7)for about an hour and a half and then they were done playing and ready to leave. Overall it was a good visit just wish it was a bigger space and could allow children to spread out a bit.

I brought my 15 month old nephew here today in order to escape the heat. He had fun with the water table, the magnets and the blocks. Honestly, there were too many children unsupervised who weren't paying attention. My nephew was knocked down often even with me right by him. I don't like the open space concept where all of the activities are just in one bug open area, but it could work for some. If it is a hot or rainy day, the place is worth it. But, I would search for a deal on Groupon.

My 2 and 5 year olds spent four very happy and fun hours here. Bring your own snacks, free lockers, helpful staff, art area is simple and kids loved it, and plenty of role playing. Definitely for younger kids.

We visited AHA! yesterday for the first time with our boys, ages 4, 6, and 8. They had a blast! They had fun running from exhibit to exhibit. The price was very affordable, but I don't think parents should be charged the same amount since they can't really participate like at Cosi. The play space was smaller, but we appreciated it as it made it easier to keep track of them as they ran from attraction to attraction. Overall we were happy, and we are planning on having a birthday party there in the near future.

My grandkids love to visit aHa. The staff is courteous and professional. The area is limited but the kids can keep themselves entertained for hours. Six dollars per person is a little steep for what is offered, especially for the adult that is just the driver. They also need to consider reciprocity with other organizations such as COSI.
