This guided tour takes you to all the best places in the Kelleys Island State Parks and Preserves. Starting at the Glacial Grooves explore the unique history of the Island from the Ice Age, and all the way to the Devonian Era. This interesting tour is an active hike and bike through the trails with brief stops to learn and rest. The two hour adventour includes The Alvar Preserve on the North Shore, pebble beach, and also East Quarry State Park.

From the sad and serious World War II Diaries to the whimsical stuffed owl and rabbit that were electrocuted, the Historical Museum is fun for all ages. There's even an old piano that the kids are allowed to play. June, one of the volunteers, is exceptionally knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit if you are on the island.

This volunteer-run venture certainly does it's very best to bring to life the history and development of the island. I was enthralled by the information and the artifacts on display. All in all well worth the modest entrance fee, and a chance to get in out of the heat.

I have been going to the island for over 20 years but this is the first time I visited the historical society and gift shop, German Reformatory church and the personage resale shop. I have been here for 4 days and have been to all 3 each day. The volunteers are so friendly and I have found treasures to take home!

Great collection of historical items and photos of the island. Air conditioning, restrooms, and drinking fountain a plus on a hot summer day. Just $5 for the entire family!

My husband and I enjoyed touring the Museum and church next door. There was a lot of information and memorabilia about the island and its history. It was interesting to see the historical pictures and learn about the the island’s early residents.
