Nice place to walk the pier

Nice walk along the river to new observation deck. You can go all the way out to the light house but watch your step as it is Rocky and uneven passed the deck.

A good place to walk and take in the views. Handicapped accessible , with benches were you can stop no rest. A nice viewing area at the end of walkway. Plenty of parking. Close to park and restaurants. River view and view of the lake. Fun to watch boats go by.

We have been to this area a few times. We have noticed different things each time. It is a great place to hang out and just enjoy life.

Surprised how many people were walking, biking, fishing, and just relaxing on the pier. The path ended at an observation area. But we noticed that the ground was worn on the left side of the observation area - and found that we could easily walk closer to the lighthouse on large flat rocks. I was pleased to see several people... More

Very nice place to go for a walk or a ride on your bike. You can stroll along the river on a walkway right by river. There are benches and a couple of swings. There are three restaurants down there two full service restaurants and one hot dogs and ice cream. Than you can extend your wall or ride out... More

so quaint, so beautiful, if you want relaxing, this is it, it has that little villiage feel, people fishing, riding bikes, there's a little ice cream snak shop right before the walkway, the lady lives there year round, she is such an awesome person, she didnt know me, but we chatted for a few minutes, and she invited me to... We have lived in Huron for 41 years and have seen a lot of changes in the Pier Area. We lost a great restaurant but we gained an expanded walkway to the Huron Lighthouse. The land at the end of the pier was expanded also and public access is being considered. On any given day you will find families walking... More

We stopped here around sunset after dinner one night. The view was amazing with the pier on the lake and the lighthouse at the end. Great place for an evening stroll. You can even see Cedar Point in the distance.

I wanted to go for a run on our trip and found the pier. I ran it 4 times for about 3 miles. There were people fishing, couples walking, just a very nice atmosphere. It felt very safe and was very close to the place we were staying. Very calming and peaceful except for the running!

The city of Huron updated this walk way to make it more pleasant over the last 10 years since I have been there! There are benches throughout and the pier to the lighthouse is handicap accessible. The view is beautiful!!
