Hudson is beautiful and well kept, truly picturesque. The scenery is obviously gorgeous as it's near the heart of Cuyahoga Valley. I have to say, our visit was a very strange experience. Every server we came in contact with was incredibly kind however, an inordinate amount of the residents (and even the farmer's market vendors) we experienced we're absolutely pretentious, with side-eyes towards others, sniggering, the lot. I have been reading reviews about Hudson, with some defending this snobbery as lower-class angst against a wealthy, educated elite, and others placing the blame on "new money". I understand the defensive reactions of those who love their town, but have to say that we are by no means unfortunate in our financial standing yet still found this contrast incredibly off-putting. I hate to make assumptions, and this is most definitely not one when it was in plain view. While none of this was directed towards us specifically, it was so incredibly odd to witness in such large amounts and quite disappointing.

We went to Hudson, on the advice of some fellow travelers staying at the B & B we were staying at. What an adorable town to wander around. Not to mention get a bite to eat and do some shopping. I wish we had more time to visit. Maybe next time................

Hudson has done a great job preserving its 200 year old heritage. The downtown has wonderful small mom and pop shops and locally owned restaurants.

Check un with the store to see what classes are available when you get to town - Lots of couples attend, some classes for teens and some for younger.
