This is a great place to visit and we'll set up with a free safari bus ride too. However, make sure you are there earlier, like 9 am or so. We arrived at 11 am and the animals had been fed, eaten and were sleeping in the shade and so hard to see them. But still a great time and... More

We're annual members of the zoo now. Great fun for kids who love animals. The safari bus ride is good, that's the best part of the zoo but honestly not enough animals to look at when u go for a walk. Been to other zoos and even though there's a lot of land space they only have a few animals.... More

The safari ride was somewhat enjoyable, the driver stopped and gave an uneducated talk on each animal, giving us time to stop and observe/take photos. However she didn't stop at the Texas Longhorns which everybody in our group was disappointed with. It was lovely to see the Rhinos and giraffes in a close to natural environment, free to roam. Towards... More

This was quite a well setup and maintained zoo and it featured a large variety of animals. The safari drive included in general admission was great and my only criticism is that the food at the café was pretty horrible.

ZOOs victoria are always a great place to go whether it be Melb Zoo or in this case Werribee Open range. Plenty of interests here. Really good variety of stuff for kids to interact with and the adults will like it too. Hippo to gorilla this is a must see

Went to the zoo for Mother's Day with my children and grandies...it was the best day ever. It's best to get there early with little ones. The safari ride was fabulous and our guide was witty, informative and interesting. The ranger with the 'cat, monkey' was great very interesting to watch while in her enclosure. But the highlight was watching... More

bit sceptical about visiting a zoo as I don't like to see animals in cages however this zoo manages to recreate natural habitat with a plenty of open spaces . Make sure you do the safari tour which seem to run every hour for about 40 minutes. The hippo, talk feeding time is also impressive. One disappointing aspect of our visit... More

We were truly delighted at the size an presentation of this open zoo. The walking tracks and viewing points have been carefully planned to maximise your viewing experience and the safari train experience is a must do.

Well we could have picked a better day as the weather was atrocious, howling wind and torrential rain. Even the airport cancelled flights that day. Not good. If we had the option of postponing to a different date our experience would have been much better, unfortunately we were not offered that opportunity. A suggestion that would've made this much more... More

We had our pass given to us as a Christmas present, well it was absolutely the best present. We had the Safari tour with Jason as our guide and he was teriffic with his info and the knowledge about all the animals we saw. Worth every moment.
