This would have to be one of the best zoos around. Great family fun day. When you do the tours the way the animals come up to the bus it's just a amazing feeling being so close to them. Highly recommended this zoo to everybody it's a great day.

We booked into the Werribee Zoo's Christmas brunch - it was quite expensive ($75/adult, $35/child) and I was unsure it would be worth it. Oh my, was it ever! The actual brunch was amazing - in the Meerkat Cafe, with the amazing little meerkats right there through the glass. The food was abundant, with great variety and absolutely delicious! It... More

We have a membership with Zoos Victoria and we consider ourselves lucky to live so close to Werribee zoo! We come here quite often and our son loves it. Every Saturday there is a show 'Rhythm of Africa' with live music and food. Ideal for families and couples!

I love the zoo any zoo actually but Werribee Zoo is very relaxing and close by with out the busy traffic to get there. They have a cafe/restaurant that gets very over crowded and noisy so suggest you bring your own food and eat. Is expensive but if you become a Melbourne Zoo member can go everyday if you want.

Really enjoyed our visit with friends. Because the animals are on open ranges the are far apart and harder to see. Having said that we saw many animals and enjoyed our walk around the park. The safari ride was relaxing and quite fun!!

Once we got to the zoo our family had a great time. Arriving at the zoo was an experience that travellers should be aware of. We decided to travel via public transport and caught the train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne out to Werribee. We promptly departed the train and headed to the adjoining bus stop. The connecting bus... More

It is always a nice day out when heading to Werribee Zoo the safari style experiences makes it fun but still has nothing on Melbourne Zoo. We are zoo members an only really go to Werribee when we have been to Melbourne a few to many times but if you are looking for something different then this is the place... More

First time visit, was expecting more. Disappointed lion feeding wasn't on after waiting 30 mins for nothing. 45 minute wait for safari bus is a joke.

Sorry, but the bus trip around the open areas is the highlight. The Oz area very disappointing! 6 emus that's all and two parrots fast asleep. Not worth it I'm afraid, its only takes 30 minutes to view the whole zoo without doing the bus tour!
