Have been many times to the Werribee zoo and the latest visit again showed how this place is evolving. The safari ride has gotten better and the hippo and lion enclosures are fantastic. Glad ti be a zoo member and encourage all local Melbournians to join up. All visitors should see the three zoos Victoria has to offer.

Fun day out. Even though the animals are less active during the day, they are still easily seen. The bus tour is great and gets you up close and good for kids of all ages.Enjoyable day out with all amenities available as you walk around.

We did a one night slumber safari which was a great experience for the family. We went through the zoo on our own before then checking in at the safari "tents". It was all run very smoothly. There is a communal area for eating (provided in price) and for meeting up when doing the activities if you choose to. In... More

Wow, this was so good for the kids. Jump on the bus and drive around looking at the free range animals. Take photos, the driver was very informative.

First up, let me say that I am a solo traveller with no children. This zoo was a fantastic way to spend a few hours. Yes, there are the typical zoo enclosures to wander around to see the exotic animals, and an open area native area, where you wander among the animals. If you like walking, a wetland loop by... Even on a busy school holiday weekend the people traffic was moved smartly through the place, allowing maximum time to enjoy the animals' company. Take the bus around the grounds for the best up close and personal experience.

This is an experience we would recommend to anyone. We arrived at the zoo early and did the whole zoo before the safari. This is camping at a whole new level. Tents with wooden floors, comfortable beds and an en suite. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The staff are passionate and knowable about the zoo and the animals. This... More

Plenty to see in an open area setting. Large playgrounds for the children. Not many animals out on display when we were there. A bit disappointing about the obscure direction signs to find our way around the zoo.
