why was it closed? we have had several trips to the homestead across the twenty years we have lived in the west, and it was always a great day and experience, with lots of different things to do to suit each person. please reopen it.

So disappointing to drive a long way to find access denied to the homestead. It used to be a great place to visit . A sign at the beginning of the metal road could have warned people that the place is closed. With housing estates...More

A few years ago this was a great place for families.. Beautiful old bluestone buildings, great area for kids to play.. Lovely walks.. It is now closed..apparently left a lot of brides out of pocket when they had booked for their big day..

When we arrived early on a Sunday afternoon ready to explore the grounds, we found it all closed off. Notice said closed till further notice. You could still walk around certain areas of the parkland.

Visited midday and did a beach walk from the National Parks official parking. The crowds were having lunch under the trees and just a few walked along the beach. Not really suitable for swimming and lots of seaweeds swept onshore. But for walking or relaxing...More
