My wife and I visited this place during our recent holiday in Phillip Island. The farm has a variety of well fed animals and poultry. The peacocks were interesting to watch.

There was a demonstration of sheep shearing for wool, a demonstration of sheep herding by a border collie named Billy and a demonstration of usage of herding whips.

We also walked the 2.2 km North hiking circuit to enjoy the physical exercise and the scenery. The Spring weather was perfect for this walk.

Such a relaxing day. We really enjoyed the historical aspect of the property as well as roaming through the gardens and seeing a range of farm animals including chickens, ducks, goats, cows, sheep and horses.

Stay and get a chance to have a go at milking a cow and whip cracking. You can also watch the farm dog round up the sheep. There is also a shearing demonstration on the weekends only.

Lots of shady spots to sit and relax and take in the scenery. There is also a cafe on site for a bite to eat.

Highly recommend

Today I visited this wonderful place, historic home, nature reserve and past working farm. The information plaques told a story of how our ancestors had a drive to make a life for themselves in what was a frontier territory. There are various activities throughout the day.

I had lunch at the cafe and it was the best quinoa, brown rice and chicken salad I’ve ever had. Lots of great choice for lunch and snacks, all very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

There is plenty of space for kids to run around and picnic benches so you can pack your own lunch if you don’t want to eat at the restaurant.

Very highly recommended.

Visited this farm in July with family. We loved the relax country feel and rolling green hills. This farm was set on an island and it is located right next to the waters.

On our day of visit, we attended the daily shows such as cow milking, sheep shearing, working dog show and whips cracking. The demonstrator was a charming lady that encouraged visitors to try eaxh experience hands on. We also loved the farm animals which included horses, donkey, cows, sheeps, chickens, guinea pigs, goats etc. It was overall a fun and entertaining afternoon for the entire family.

Tips: Try to arrive by noon for the daily shows

This was a really pleasant environment to wander around in. The entrance fee is reasonable and you are really left to your own devices to what you want to do and see. There are shows but they are not mandatory. The island walking circuit round the island is particularly pleasant.

Great whole round experience including the Blacksmith demonstration with Bob and seeing the new born Lambs with Chloe. The restaurant served up a lovely egg and bacon in a Turkish roll washed down with a Cappachino. Good value.

Churchill Island is interesting. It's 50 ha (125 acres), Churchil Island was Victoria;s first farm, and there's still a heritage farm on the island. There are lots of animals to see. There's a cafe, and the island is connected to Phillip Island by a narrow bridge. Children enjoy this picturesque island. By the way, the historic farmhouse, still in use, dates from 1872,

This place is a step back in time for you. The scenery is beautiful. Grounds were clean and tidy and gardens lovely to walk around and view. The old homestead was amazing and fascinating to see. The children really were fascinated in all the history the place offered. The tractor ride was a big hit with them as well. The scattered games on the grounds for you to play was great. WE picnicked on the lawn and it was a relaxing day. However the café looks amazing so if a picnic is not on your agenda you can go there. Beautiful place to visit. Staff were friendly and the admission cost very reasonable. Just be mindful of your footwear. I suggest not thongs. We saw many people with inappropriate footwear. Sneakers better choice.

What a beautiful island. We only had a short time to visit but we did the 2.3km walk around half of the island. Such beautiful scenery and lovely walking paths.
I also noted that there is a parkrun here (not operating when I was here).

After passing the sign for many years of Churchill Island , today we made the decision to take that turn. We were not disappointed, it is the site of the first farm for Victoria. Wonderful views all around of Western Port and looking back to Phillip Island. It is connected to Phillip Island by a narrow bridge. A great place to take a family , you can take a tour to visit the farm and homestead.
There is also a Souvenir shop and Cafe.
