A wonderful sort of play/pantomime with the story of the "ship that never was" allegedly "stolen" by the last few convicts at Sarah Island. The play tells the story of what might have happened, only 2 actors, both of whom are brilliant (Chris and not sure of the other man's name?) so there is a lot of audience participation. It... More

FABULOUS play!!!! As someone else suggested, take the Gordon River Cruise and go through the short tour on Sarah Island before seeing the play, if you can. The play is FUN, interactive and has some good history....absolutely WONDERFUL!! You'll be glad you went. I PROMISE!! "Liberty or Death!"

Since we had done the trip along the river we stayed in town and saw this production. It is fun and informative and nice that audience members are part of the show-for that reason I guess it is never the same two nights in a row. Evidently next January they will be celebrating their 25th year which is amazing. I... More

Perfect pre-dinner entertainment, relaxing, funny and informative. Involved three principal actors, playing a number of roles, who recruited many "volunteers" from the audience to fill the other roles. The hour/ hour and a quarter of the performance flew. Starting at approximately 5.30 p.m., the show was finished by approximately 6.45 p.m., fitting in well with a 7.00 p.m. dinner reservation.... More

This was such a great show. For the $20 a ticket, we weren't sure what to expect. It was hilarious, a lot of audience interaction which just added to the humour. It was also very educational, brilliant.

This quaint local show tells the story of convicted on Sarah island in the early years. The cast are fun and do a great job. The same guys do the commentary on Sarah island when the cruise boats go there in the day. I'd you have time, book a later dinner and see this show first.

Very clever presentation of an amazing convict story. History comes alive . A amazing but sad tale of convict ingenuity. I found myself feeling sad that they where caught. Most of the audience probably shared that view due to emotive but funny performance of the actors I would advise to do the Gordon River cruise first and in that visit Sarah... We were in Strahan for two days and were recommended to go to this performance by several people. Usually sceptical about recommendations we really have to say that this show really does deserve all the positive reviews! Although the show has apparently been running for years it always seems fresh and is hugely enjoyable. As others have said there is... More
