How cool is this place?

Well worth a look inside. The people are so very friendly and there are funny little comments on the items inside. It's an eclectic mix of various art and bric a brac. I'll let the photos speak for themselves

Wonderful collection of eclectic merchandise

Located on the Main Street of Sheffield the emporium holds a diverse range of historic memorabilia gathered over the years by its eccentric but friendly owner Mark. Walking through the store is like a trip down memory lane. My wife and I purchased a few items from the store which varied from antiques to local Tasmanian honey. Definitely worth a visit while visiting the underrated tourist town of Sheffield.

Lots to see
Jan 2020 • Couples
We spent a good 45 minutes in here looking at all that was on offer. A lovely couple running the emporium with music playing that could be understood. Lots on show that brought back memories for both myself and my husband. I thought things were a little overpriced but I understand the need for them to make a living. Well worth a look in if you are in town.

A fun curiosity shop
Nov 2019
Nearly everything, except for a few things hanging from the ceiling, is for sale and there is a huge range of options from locally made craft to well-priced antiques and vintage items. Something for all the family here. Very quirky, entertaining salesman! Worth a visit to meet him

Amazing second hand store, full of character
Oct 2019
We stumbled upon this store and could have spent half a day here - full of weird and wonderful second hand finds, quirky and to-the-point signs (basically, keep your kids away from the merch!) and an extraordinary record and music memorabilia section.

Waiting for the spirit to sail so ventured into this amazing place
It has 3 floors filled to the brim with everything imaginable
It was wonderful to wander around and look at all the different items some rustic some high end
I though the prices were very expensive but it was a great experience

Quirky gold mine!

Love this quirky shop and the quirky owner so much!! Full to the brim with all kinds of antique treasures. Great selection of books and LP's. Be prepared for laughs, albeit sometimes confronting, with the owner... Interacting with him can be better than wandering through the goods!! Not recommended for under 18's, as they aren't allowed to touch, but I guess you look with your eyes any way!!

So extraordinary

Amazing place to while away a couple of hours. An extraordinary collection of unusual things - vinyl records, old comics, second-hand books and lots of other curious. The owners have a quirky sense of humour and you'll just chuckle as you walk around looking at the signs they've put on everything. A real hoot and a must visit if you're in Sheffield. Free entry.

Uninviting, Unfriendly - PITY as I love collectibles
Jan 2019 • Family
So, this shop has a bad ‘vibe’. There are signs EVERYWHERE saying DO NOT TOUCH if you are Under 18. Signs are in your face EVERYWHERE. Constant reminder that if you are a child you are Under 18.

My children all collect ‘things’ but didn’t look because they ‘got’ that they were not welcome. They are also good readers so they can read the signs!

They ‘played’ in the cramped area out the back.

I also wanted to purchase an LP but I only had card, no cash. Of course the LP was $5, under the $10 minimum EFTPOS. I would have purchased more to make over the $10 minimum as it is rare I walk into one of these shops & walk out empty handed or with such a small purchase but I REALLY didn’t want to give this store my business.

Re: my $5 purchase I did ask if I could pay an extra fee to cover their card fee but the response was “I’ve been told not to”.

I have 2 questions.

1/ How many people OVER 18 have broken items in your store? Anyone would think once you are Over 18 you are all of a sudden responsible.

2/ How many people have ‘offered’ to pay a fee to assist purchasing under the $10 minimum? I would think very few although with the response it sounded like customers were regularly offering to pay the ‘fee’ associated with the card.

It’s a pity. If we had a different ‘vibe’ I can guarantee we would have spent quite a significant amount of money. Also, my 16 year old usually finds the ‘traasures’ that we cannot find but unfortunately he wasn’t allowed to touch anything.
