Liam hosted the perfect tour and ticked all the boxes. Stunning Derwent River, relaxed kayaking spiced with some more exciting elements, swimming under a waterfall, platypus everywhere and a most enjoyable lunch. Totally recommend this trip and will appeal to all ages.

We went on the Derwent Rapid Tour and it was an absolute highlight of our Mt Field stay. Liam was a fantastic guide, made us feel safe and welcome the entire trip, and was incredibly knowledgeable on the local area. The rapids are reasonably gentle and as novice kayakers we felt safe and assured the whole time. As there was... More

A last minute decision to head up to Lake Pedder, and great to discover I would be able to join a kayak tour whilst I was up there. Perfect conditions all day. The tour was very well run, the kayaks were easy to use and felt nice and stable (I am inspired to do this more!), and Liam was a... More

Spent a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable morning gently paddling down the Derwent river near New Norfolk Tasmania. We started our journey traversing several small sections of rapids but nothing too challenging and suited to any level of experience or lack of. We then made our way along beautiful calm stretches of river, chatting with our friendly and informative guide Liam.... More

We had a fabulous time on Lake Pedder - what a way to see the lake by kayak. I am not sure it was the kayaking or the brownies that made us want to do it again the next day. We were able to go down the Derwent River and the rapids were perfect for our young family - challenging... More

My boyfriend and I had a great day kayaking the Derwent River with Tassie Bound. We were so grateful they could put on a tour for just the two of us with very little notice - something we found we were unable to do with the rafting tours but it definitely turned out for the best. The rapids were really... More

This was a great way to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful evening, warm and still. The trip had some interesting moments, a mixture of exciting fast bits of river to slow moving parts. We saw trout jump, ospreys, white cockatoos and 2 platypusses. Liam was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the surroundings. We ended the evening... More

What a wonderful evening kayaking peacefully along the Gordon river spotting platypus. The evening was perfect, warm without wind so we could "cruise" slowly and gently. The river banks were full of life with birds, platypus, and many other creatures. Before we jumped in the individual kayaks we had a short briefing with Liam. I felt safe all the way till... More

It was a beautiful evening, we felt safe and yet there was still the element of adventure and daring. We all had our own kayak as we navigated our way through pristine countryside spotting the not too elusive platypus. We saw 5 of them.
