We went in the first tour of the morning at 10am. It's a short walk from the final car park to the cave. Dress reasonably warmly as the cave is 9 degrees Celsius year round. The cave is well developed with good footing and lighting throughout. Prams and wheelchairs won't work due to overhead clearance. Our guide was excellent; she... More

Hadn't planned to go to "another cave" but this ended up being last minute. Better than expected even with quite a big group of 20 or so. The guide made the trip worthwhile.

Such a beautiful cave! The tour guide we had was very informative and passionate about her job. Wonderful experience for adults and children. It's a little bit of a drive from Launceston but the scenery along the way is totally worth it.

This is the second cave I have visited, although they are fairly similar it's always good to spend time appreciating the rock formations that have taken thousands of years to take shape.

Staff at reception and tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had read great reviews about the caves and were certainly not disappointed. The scale and beauty of this natural wonderland is breath taking. Our family did the one hour cathedral and glow worm tour at Marakoopa which was spectacular. The children were captivated, it was magical. The history... More

Our tour guide was knowledgeable about this environment and gave a good explanations about caves and glow worms. Take in the view and where possible, don't rush through without enjoying the hidden aspects of nature!

I did the two 1 hour tours one after the other and loved every minute. The caves are stunning with stalactites and Stalagmites everywhere. Also one cave has glow worms which were magical to see. I enjoyed the river tour more than the cathedral tour as it contained more formations. It was easy to take photos but none were allowed... More

We arrived at the cakes in time for a cathedral and gardens tour which took about 45 minutes. The tour contains about 200 steps but was manageable for our two primary school children. It was cool in the cave but not unbearable. The guide was knowledgeable and answered lots of questions. Well worth the cost and time.

Everywhere you look it's spectacular. Calcite formations, fossils, glow worms etc would happily just stand there for hours and take it all in. Highly recommended
