Lovely little chocolate shop and so helpful. Very nice that Covid-19 restrictions were being steadfastly adhered to as well. Everything expertly made and so decorotive as well as delicious! Will buy a bigger box next time.

Giovanni gave both my teenagers a lovely sample of the wonderful chocolate from a fountain type thing, and simply made the visit fun! The opposite of a stuffy expensive chocolate shop. He was clearly passionate about his chocolate and the hot chocolate drink was just lovely, not made from powder, but from actual chocolate. Shame about the calories, but hey nothings perfect!

We ended our Bruny Island Safari wth a visit to Nutpatch last week. I love chocolate and mean I really love chocolate. I eat it regularly but I was totally blown away with this little shop in Kettering. John started with an explanation on where chocolate comes from and the different quality. He is very entertaining and it was very interesting. He also showed us pictures of some of the cakes he has made from chocolate, they were just amazing. He doesn't just do chocolate he started with Nougat, his own recipe which is also delightful. I can honestly say the creme brulee chocolate was the best I have ever tasted. I wish I could move to Kettering so I could try a different chocolate every day till I had tried them all. I will savour what chocolate & Nougat I bought back with me. The shop is not signed so it is easy to miss. It is across the road from the community hall and well worth a visit if you're passing by, especially if you're a chocoholic

Perfectly and conveniently located right on the docks of the Derwent River, right near the park and just across from the Salamanca Markets. Delicious chocolates for all tastes and delights. The most amazing and delicious hot chocolate! Perfect for a winters day wandering around.

I don't usually like dark chocolate, but I do if it's from this place.
Really nice, good quality chocolate, with some very original flavours. I got the box with assorted fruit flavours. Seriously good treat.

Was recommended to visit Nutpatch by the manager of the hotel we stayed at. It was a picturesque 25 min drive from Sandy Bay where we stayed while visiting Tasmania.
Before even opening the door, you get a sweet perfume taste of the goodies that were to be discovered inside.
We were welcomed by the owners wife immediately after opening the temperature controlling front door, as we entered into a tiny shop that resembles chocolate heaven.
The assortment of chocolate treats was huge and the prices ranged from about $3 to potentially hundreds depending on the intricacy of the item.
We were only planning on buying some treats for our 3 children but ended up getting various chocolates for Christmas presents.
We were soon greeted by the owner, Giovanni, who has an unbelievable passion for chocolate and eye for detail and a doctrine in customer service by my standards.
Can highly recommend this hidden gem and if in and around Hobart, make the journey to Kettering because you will never forgive yourself if you miss out on probably some of the best chocolates and treats in the world.

Called in at the Nutpatch on a drive down through the Channel area. Such an insignificant shopfront which is part of a disused service station which has been transformed into chocolate paradise. The chocolate honeycomb is simply the best I have eaten, sadly I only purchased one bag !! I am making a return visit Very Very SOON !!

Every time I have people visiting from interstate I do not let them leave without paying a visit here. This small charming chocolate shop is amazing!
You can tell that love and care has been put into every chocolate. This shop sets the benchmark for all chocolates... I always think... Not as good as a nutpatch chocolate

By all means ring the shop, although we just used Google Maps and found it very easily (not part of a tour group). The personal service we received from John was second to none. Agree with other comments, this is a must visit location.
