We treked down to Wineglass Bay from Wineglass Bay Lookout (I think going back up would be hard & the few people we passed were all puffed) & we spent some time on the beautiful beach /bay prior to treking across the Isthmus to Hazards...More

Lovely walk, average fitness needed especially if you are walking down the 800 stairs to the beach. We went in the middle of winter and the tracks were pretty quiet, you could stop and start as you pleased. I can imagine on a busy day...More

Well trodden path of around 90 minutes duration. Gradual climb up - steep in parts but no challenge if in average health and fitness. Great vantage spots along the way. Good parking and toilets and opportunity to refill your water bottle. Many good photo opportunities.

To get to Wineglass bay, you need to hike down. The bay looks more beautiful from the top at Wineglass Bay lookout than close up, but nevertheless it is nice to walk on the beach. You can also take a cruise around the bay.

Walking to Wineglass Bay is one of the iconic things that you can do on a visit to the Freycinct Peninsula. The walk to the bay from the lookout is manageable and not too difficult. You are then rewarded with pristine sand and water. It...More

We visited on an overcast day, accompanied by very strong winds. The bay is beautiful, but the beach itself is similar to many of the other east coast beaches. It really stands out when viewed from up at the lookout. However, it's a good walk,...More

Looks beautiful from the Lookout, but on the disappointing side once you walk down to the beach. Supposedly 1000 steps down to the beach but a good track. Need to be pretty fit and wear good walking shoes. Sand on the beach not as fine...More
