The whole of the Freycinet Peninsular in Tasmania has spectacular scenery, but near the tip at Coles Bay, the sunsets can also be sensational. Both times we have visited, in 2014 and more recently in October this year, we had great sunsets. Coles Bay of...More

Coles Bay is a beautiful and sheltered part of the Tasmanian East Coast. The water is clean, and plenty of bird life frequent the shores. The beaches are small and complement the peaceful nature of the bay. Watching the sunset across Coles Bay from the...More

NIce little bay, not too big. If you like less crowd, this would be a good place to have nice walks and recharge your energy. Not many shops in the Coles Bay region. If you plan on staying here, advisable to bring your own food...More

Overall a little disappointing. Where you drive in the places are a bit scattered and when you get to the bay p.roper it lacked the retail opportunity. Unless the coffee shops and cafes are tucked away somewhere there is no signage to direct you to...More

Cole’s Bay is what Saffire Freycinet sits on with gorgeous sapphire blue waters and a white powdery sand beach. You could actually walk from this beach all the way(a bit rough in places) to the Freycinet National Park. The bay and its beach itself isn’t...More

We loved taking an early morning swim at Coles Bay, although fresh, it was beautiful and the water crystal clear.

Very nice bay with a stunning view of The Hazards. In spite of it being a very windy day it still seemed like a serene place. To top it off there was a rather large ketch anchored in the bay. Well worth a visit.
