STUNNING PROPERTY
Dec 2019
Clarendon Estate is a "must see" property to see. The stunning house has been beautifully restored and furnished. The gardens are magnificent, well worth the stroll around despite the gale force winds on the day of our visit. The National Trust volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel very welcome.

Pretty gardens
Dec 2018 • Solo
Much time and effort is spent in keeping the English style gardens blooming and groomed. The ambience is tranquil and homely. Beautiful to sit in. I lucked out with beautiful weather in December on a sunny day with blue sky.

Magnificant historic house and surrounds!
Sep 2017 • Solo
Arrived on a glorious spring morning and was greeted by the golden glow of daffodils scattered throughout the garden. The magnificent late Georgian house sits proudly in this lovely setting, surrounded by mature old trees. The old garden has a nice nostalgic feel - a bit like your grandmothers. The House is quite stunning with impressive interiors and spacious rooms. Furnished throughout with period furniture, paintings and numerous interesting objects. The NT guides are very knowledgeable about the Houses history and passionate about educating visitors! The outbouldings are also quite fascinating and include a quaint gardeners cottage, convict housing quarters, stone barn, a heritage museum and fly fishing museum. A cafe occupies the conservatory - a great day or few hours is assured.

Exquisite
Apr 2017 • Family
We walked around the exterior of this exquisite home on a perfect autumn day and it was just lovely! Built in a similar style to other British estate buildings, you could easily think you were somewhere in Britain.
Well worth the stop.

Nice relaxing visit to a grand house with beautiful walled gardens.
Jan 2017 • Family
The guides are passionate about this national trust building, and knowledgeable in the history of the family related to it. Personally, I really like the grounds and the two walled gardens behind and beside the house. Great to visit in the summer and maybe have a quiet lunch in the gardens here.
