Many natural sites here and all are worthwhile. Free parking and short walks to great views. Small detour off the road to Port Arthur and should not take much more than an hour or two to get valuable enjoyment.

The Tasman Peninsula is a couple of hours drive from Hobart, and offers stunning scenery, and reminders of Australia’s convict heritage. There is plenty to do in the area and basing yourself on the peninsula allows for a couple of days exploring. The geological features...More

The Tasman Arch is certainly worth a visit when you are in the area to visit Port Arthur. There is a short and scenic walk around the arch. The blowhole effect was a bit lame on the day we visited due to the calm sea...More

I would never regret coming to this place despite of the long drive I need to, it is amazing as it seems and there's a lot of other lookout for you to explore! Just go and you will never regret the time required.

A stop at Tasman National Park is a great and beautiful way to break up the drive from Hobart to Port Arthur. An hour provides a great way to stretch your legs amongst some beautiful scenery and you may see a wallaby or two.

The coastline around Eaglehawk Neck is stunning and while this park is quite small, there are some lovely little trails with amazing views. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We took the A3 from Hobart, turned right on to the A9 near Copping and then straight to Port Arthur. Afterwards we did a complete circuit of the peninsula via Nubeena.

No, we didn't in April this year. We thought the Bicheno Blowhole was a bit more impressive - but it all depends on the tides when you are there. There is quite a lot to see and do around the area as well. On the... More
