Went to Melbourne for a week and decided to go via the Spirit of Tasmania. Easy boarding and very good food and drink options on boat. Whilst weather outside was not great (very windy) trip on ferry was reasonably smooth. Staff helpful and courteous. Cabin comfortable.Embarking and disembarking very well organised.

We thought it was a great experience. Staff were amazing. We had the Deluxe cabin which was great. Quick and easy boarding both ways. I found the bars and entertainment substantial for a one night trip.

The fery was large, modern, clean and welcomimg. The motorcycle was well looked after by competent staff. Cabin a decent size with a good shower / toilet area. Restaurant and other onboard facilities tip top.

We have done the crossing, both ways, several times since moving to Tassie from South Australia about two and a half years ago. Taking The Spirit of Tasmania allows you to bring your car along which makes a mainland visit much more economical. We have always done overnight sailings where you have a few hours to occupy yourself then go... More

What an amazing experience!! Arrived and dropped off caravan and car. Checked into cabin. Wandered up to have a drink and play cards. Dinner was simple yet perfect. The crossing was a little choppy but expected during July. A must do trip for everyone.

The ferry trip was really comfortable and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the live music performed by Tasmanian solo artist Sheyana. She was a really special talent. It made for a great and thoroughly pleasant evening meeting some great people in the audience before retiring to the cabin. Well done!

Cabin for two was great with our own bathroom facilities. Entertainment is provided on the boat, plus Tasmanian producers promoting their goods. The boat has activities for children and for the adults there are poker machines. Food on the boat is okay but expensive. A great way to travel to Tasmania and take your car. An interesting experience and one... More
