The entire process of booking, boarding and disembarking was all too easy. Very professional and streamlined. We travelled in inside four berth cabins with ensuite and found them to be all we needed. There is a gaming station on deck 10 to keep kids happy until bed time. The TMK restaurant is great value as it is a buffet/ carvery... More

If going for more than one week the Spirit well and truly pays for itself because you can take your own car and as much luggage as you can fit in the car - no flights or car hire. We had a cabin both ways even though our trip over was during the day - and we used it both... More

We would definitely travel on the SoT again. The kids (5,3&6mths) have a great time playing in the little kids area. The pizzas on the top level are pretty average and not worth the money. The cabins are cosy and well set out. We also had a port a cot and the whole family had enough room to sleep comfortably.... More

Very comfortable trip across the Strait. Staff are all very friendly and the ships decor is very modern. Restaurant was a bit pricey but everything else was great!

We moved our friends to tassie and had a great meal and a few drinks while relaxing after traveling 17 hrs on the road. Ship was easy to load our equipment on with friendly staff. One more load to go.

Easy boarding process and the staff very friendly - lots of greetings and smiles as we arrived on board which was lovely. The Spirit of Tasmania is a lot larger than I expected with many lounge areas including bars and restaurant areas. We were 9 hours on board, and had plenty to do - although I did catch up on... I have been going on the Spirit of Tasmania every year for 11 years and I always look forward to going on the "boat". If you ever wonder whether to fly or go on the boat choose the boat every time! My next trip is in 3 weeks, I seriously cannot wait because it's the best! And I suggest the... More

Comfortable single beds, clean but tiny bathroom with hot showers. Food is good but wish they had an al la carte option instead of just a buffet. Had a great sleep, definitely recommend booking a room!!!

We took our SUV to Tasmania for a 3.5 week touring holiday. The outward daytime crossing was particularly rough and we were glad we had elected to take a cabin. We took our motion sickness medication and slept almost all the way from Melbourne to Devonport. We were very comfortable despite the washing machine motion of the vessel. The return... More
