We popped in on a quieter day to sample some ciders. The owner was lovely and provided us a tasting of several ciders. Cleary passionate about his craft and gave us lots of great info on each taster.
It was a rainy day but we could see a nice outdoor area which would be great when the suns out. Probably not a place to take a kid if they’re a runner as it’s on a busier road.

A friend had mentioned this place and as going past thought we would drop in. Was a lovely little find, the staff were friendly, service was good and product diverse for all tastes. I recommend - dropping in!

They have a wide range of ciders that I have never tried before, well worth the trip, my favourite was the Blueberry cider. All the ciders are free of added sugars, sweeteners, colours, flavours, concentrate and they only use Tasmania fruit!
We brought our own little pick-nick and sat outside for lunch with a glass of cider each. The service was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the tasting from Amber. I will happily be buying Pagan Cider from my local bottle shop when I get home.

On our Huon Valley cider trail trip, this was the pick of places to visit.
A genuine “cellar door “ with many varieties to sample.
Ryan, our host was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the product and a real asset to this company.
Genuinely worth a stop.

Delicious craft cider made from real Tasmanian fruit. Friendly and knowlegable service from the cellar door attendant gave us an experience to remember. They have seating inside and outside and we enjoyed a drink off tap as well as taking a few 4 packs home. Plenty of parking outside the cellar door and only a 10 minute drive from Huonville. Would recommend a visit to both locals and visitors. My favourite cider was the peach!

If you're going in the direction of Cygnet or Huonville, don't miss Pagan Cider on the road between these two towns.
They have a couple of lines they always carry (apple cider and perry) but it's the seasonal creations that provide the real interest. Strawberry, cherry, quince, apricot and peach cider all feature seasonally, some in very small batches. It's worth tasting them when they're available - and don't forget to purchase before you leave.

Not far from Huonville, Pagan Cider is well worth visiting. There are a range of ciders on offer but I liked the Apple the best. I find some Apple ciders overly sweet but Pagan Ciders produce a lovely Apple cider with a light fruity dry cider taste. A perfect summer drop. I bought a pack of four but will be sourcing more in Melbourne this summer.

I was very pleased with my visit. We were given personal service and encouraged to try everything that they had available without charge (quite different from our experience at other cideries in the area). The flavors were delicate and complex, and varied widely among the different ciders (ranging from traditional apple to pear to strawberry and peach). Delightful. Wish that they were located closer to my home.

I was very impressed. This was a very small storefront with just a single guy working the day we stopped. The guy was very friendly and gave us a full "serving" of information about the ciders, asked questions about what flavors we liked before offering a tasting, and then truly wanted to know what we thought about the flavors after we tasted. I really like pear cider and theirs was exceptional. They also had cherry, apple, and strawberry. I enjoyed the cherry - very deep, rich flavor - and the apple was very crisp. I didn't love the strawberry but maybe it reminded me too much of trying Boone's Farm Strawberry wine when I was very young! We bought several bottles to take home and enjoyed them over the next several days.

Free tasting is always good. The ciders were tasty. They are more fruity so for traditional scrumpy lovers might be a bit strange. Tasty though. Very informative and very friendly. Didn't buy any since they were a bit pricey. Great to be able to get the apple juice and the apples from the fridge around the corner at a very great price. Apple juice was the best we have ever tasted!!!
