Off the asphalt, the road to the most southerly parks deteriorate to third world standards. The potholes are fierce. They cost us over $1100 in repairs.

We did two terrific walks in this park, strenuous and some steep climbs but well worth it to get the views from the tops of towering cliffs. The Fluted Cape walk showed us some rugged rock formations including up close and personal with the flutes...More

South Bruny Island was a real surprise. Unspoilt landscapes with bird rookeries and great fishing locations. A great place to unwind.

Took a day trip to Bruny Island, complete with a boat cruise around the coast. Beautiful location, so wild and natural. We were blessed with a terrific day weather wise, but it could be very rough if the weather turned. Lovely foods on the island.

Car ferry across & a pleasant drive across both islands. Highlight was the view from the isthmus and the walk up the 227 steps to the lookout. Nice country drive, but because it was winter with driving winds we didn't stay too long.

What a lovely place to visit. Took the car over on the ferry, a short 20 min ride, and drove along the coastline of this lovely island. It was unique with low grassy terrain to tall rainforest trees. Cafes and restaurants scattered through the island...More

If you get a chance while in Tasmania don't skip Bruny Island. A 20 minute, $30 return ferry ride to a very rural, very hilly, tremendously beautiful place. Wonderful parks, tidy campgrounds and an abundance of wildlife. Go!
