my grandparents live in the area and after staying longer than expected visiting them suggested we have dinner at the country club. the only complaint I have is that they didn't tell me how good It was !! or I wouldn't have had so much for lunch.
two soups available on the night corn and basil, sweet, fragrant, delicious, or pumpkin with green peppercorn thoroughly warming and scrumptious on the cold evening. I had two bowls of each! then I ate through a tray of lovingly roasted baby carrots, spuds, field mushroom, beans and other season appropriate vegetables. it looked great and tasted even better.
staff were promptly clearing away our used bowls and cutlery and were very courteous.
so I went back for more, this time some seafood. fresh huge prawns and their own seafood sauce were delicious I must have had a dozen and my daughter was eating them as fast as I could peel them as well. then after hearing how good the fish was I thought I couldn't let it pass, I wasn't sure about the sauce it was cooked in as it looked a bit heavy on the butter for my taste, but when I had it, it was light, infused with parsley, lemon, with the tiniest hint of butter, in my opinion could stand up in any star restaurant, I enjoyed this on a bed of rice.
My daughter really enjoyed the hot pasta which looked to have a pesto on it and the beef curry.
Other family had the pork and loved the crackling, and an abundance of fresh salads.
Overall, I couldn't have been more impressed at the quality of food offered by this modest little Buffet.
No it is not in the newest of buildings, and as it was night I cant speak for the view, yes the kids corner looked like it needed a clean , but no worse than other equipment for children to play.
I haven't even mentioned the dessert!! to be perfectly honest it was a bit sweet for me the pavlova but the decadent dressing of strawberries blueberries, passionfruit, kiwi fruit was delicious, plus chocolate mouse light fluffy and 'chocholaty', and white chocolate bread and butter pudding with raspberries, im not really a sweet tooth person, nor do I usually eat butter puddings, but a few mouthfuls of this was just what I felt like to really finish off my eating feast. it really was a feast! and I cant wait to go back and invite others with me !
I currently live in the lower blue mountains and until I ate there never even knew about it. I mostly felt compelled to write this review after hearing that the food was getting bad reviews and Ive travelled Australia and lived abroad and its some of the nicest food ive enjoyed anywhere with wonderful staff, so I don't know where the bad review are coming from. I WILL be BACK!

I dont play golf but my friends who do, love the golf course. As for me I am local and go there thursday evenings to meet with friends and play trivial pursuits.I have eaten many places in the mountains over the years from small cafes to fine dining establishments. After a very poor showing by the last contractor we waited with interest to try the offerings of the new chef. We were not disappointed.! Reasonable pub level prices for better than pub food. Interesting choices eg pork belly , pork belly salad, grilled salmon, vegetarian salads etc and something for the kids. thank you all!!

Lets face it the last incumbant basically destroyed the good will. That was then and this is now.

Chef Andrew ex 2773 Cafe at Glenbrook and his wife Monique are now in charge. They come with excellent credentials.

It's day two of their tenure so we decided to try out the lunch menu. Its pub food with a twist.

The food that we had was excellent and the portions were very generous.

I overheard other patrons also complimenting the food.

They have a nice menu for kids as well so they are very family focused. There is a small childs playroom for little ones. (not supervised)

I believe that its going to a go to destination in Wentworth Falls and will compliment the existing restrauant scene beautifully.

I can see it becoming a community hub and it has lovely views over the golf course.

We are going back to try the dinner menu.

So far so good -they have got off to a flying start- I recommend a visit for locals and visitors alike.

Being a club there is a fully stocked bar with very friendly staff.

We've a large family group that stays in the adjoining Cooinda Cottages each November and play a few rounds of golf. We can sometimes find that golf shop staff can be a little prickly about things - NOT so at Wentworth Falls Gold Club where the 2 guys are sensational and bend over backwards to help you enjoy your round. We also couldn't speak highly enough of Alex in the Cottages, which is one reason why we keep returning each year. The 4 Cottages are really well maintained and each has 3 bedrooms. rgds john

Was overall very pleased with my day of golf. Weather was great so that helped too. Spectacular views. The buffet lunch tasted really fresh and was great after a morning of golf. Service was very good and done with a smile unlike some places up here that tend to be more annoyed with travellers. Would definately return and recommend this place to others.

First I have to declare that I am biased - my partner and I came to this club so many times we thought we'd join it ! So we're social members. But having said that I will tell you that the Club dining room has a lovely outlook over the club golf course, especially nice on a sunny day or a summer's evening. The staff couldn't be any more helpful and pleasant, and the food is very good for Club food - I would rather go here than any of the local hotel dining rooms some of which are quite expensive these days. We are semi regulars at the Friday night special smorgasbord and buy a ticket in the meat raffle which adds a bit of fun to the evening. The venue attracts a nice polite friendly and unassuming patronage. So if you want a night out that doesn't "break the bank" or lunch in casual pleasant surroundings, don't overlook the WFCC!

My family and I booked into the club on a friday evening for the buffet dinner. The girl in the restaurant was lovely. Everything was great until the dessert arrived right next to our table and the chef was loud and rude to us when we went to help ourselves we had to use dessert spoons as there were no other utensils.
Then heard the chef clearly call us a bunch on pig's.
It was a massive let down As we dont often spend nights together as a family and for $27.00 it was a bit much for the way we were treated.
The club has great potential but definitely needs some work.

I hope that he was just having a bad day because I cant see alot of people returning to pay that price to be spoken too like that.
all in all an average night made better with the lovely men running the meat raffles.

My family and I wanted to have a nice family dinner for my brothers 21st birthday before they went away on an over seas trip. We chose the Wentworth Falls Country Club, terrible mistake! We arrived and the club was empty, weird for a Saturday night. We then proceeded to the counter to be taken to our table, we waited around for the waitress to come take our order, only to realise there was a very serious lack of service! Having to order at the counter, which ended up being very expensive, we waited for the entrees, which was garlic bread and bruschetta. They weren't even cut up, just whole hunks of bread...
We dismissed this in hope the mains would impress, which they did not. The chicken Caesar burgers were poorly presented and looked to be slopped onto the plate. The kids cheese burgers were burnt and lacked a side of chips. The lamb was ordered to be medium to well, and instead was very tough. Not impressed at all! The premium beef burger seemed to have a store bought meat patty on it...so much for premium beef!
I would not reccomend the country club to anyone. My family and I were not pleased with the food or the waitress and waiter (I did not like the look of the waiter) the waiter who brought the 2 kids burgers out stood there blatantly wondering who they were for, with only 2 kids with our group I wonder how he could misjudge this.
DO NOT BE FOOLED! The country club is terrible.

I go to the Wentworth Falls Country Club quite regularly, not because it is good, but because it is near my house. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
One week the food will be fantastic, the next week you order the same food and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
The club also lacks atmosphere. The chairs and tables are falling apart (literally, one of our guests was almost stabbed by a protruding screw recently), the carpet looks dirty, the walls need a fresh coat of paint and the ceiling is covered in water marks.
Yes, they have a child's playroom, which is good, but it is in need of an update (and a clean).
The staff are ok. Some staff are friendly, but some are in need of some training. Last week I ordered a glass of RED wine and the bar man was confused as to why he couldn't find it in the fridge. Another week I asked for a shandy and the same bar man forgot the lemonade.
I do enjoy going to the monthly Trivia, every third Sat. That is fun.
