My partner and I booked the Sunset Trail ride a week after the school holidays ended and it was the most beautiful experience! It was a quieter period so we ended up being the only ones on the ride but Bella was an amazing guide who made everything super comfortable and relaxing. My partner and I have been horse riding several times before at other stables but this experience was by far the best because of how safe we felt on the horses and the service we received. The trail was nice and easy and was extremely scenic! Definitely recommend!

At the end of a bumpy dirt road, about 20 minutes from Blackheath, the road opens up to an spectacular cleared area within the valley.

I recently visited with my 6 year old daughter for a one hour trail ride where we meandered across open paddocks and along bush trials. The horses all appeared to be well cared for and were very quiet (followed the leader) and we had the opportunity for a short trot and canter.

Even in busy school school holidays the group was small with only 5 riders and 2 guides.

I would definitely recommend Centennial Glen and hope to return one day for a longer ride.

Highly recommend this place. The horses are very friendly and well looked after. We had a small group with some first timers and some more experienced riders - all were perfectly catered for.

We loved our guides - Amalia and Taylor...thank you for making the outing so much fun.

The most awesome experience! The location is spectacular; mix of forest and lush paddocks with cliffs on either side. The horses were all beautiful and better cared for than any other trail ride I've done. Jim was gracious, accommodating a late change to our booking and Bella, our guide, was the perfect mix of fun, helpful and safety conscious. Mac

Booked the 2 hour trail ride for myself and 13 year old daughter. Stunning location in the valley riding diverse trails including grassy paddocks and through the forest with amazing views. Very healthy, well looked after horses - perfect for beginners. Fantastic guide Daniel who had us riding confidently and had lots of interesting stories. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and would recommend to anyone!

I booked my 11 year old daughter in for the all day horsemanship. Great value at $145. We weren't too sure about dropping her there by herself but one of the older girls working as a trainer adopted her straight away and she got to do all the things she wanted. The folk there were lovely and very trustworthy! Our daughter had a great time and is now saving for next holidays!

I visited with my husband yesterday and went on the sunset horse ride. I can ride, my husband doesn’t but we had well suited horses and I was able to have a nice trot and canter on my lovely horse Kev. All of the horses looked well looked after and the view was amazing with the mountains all around. Melissa who took us was lovely and husband enjoyed his experience! Thank you highly recommended! X

We’ve been going to centennial Glen stables for a few years and have spent a lot of money on rides. Took my daughter for her 10th birthday for a ride as this is a tradition we have started with my mum. The owner was not there that day and people running the trail rides appeared flustered. Our ride time was incorrectly booked in and so we had to go riding with a group that was ready to go. That was fine... what wasn’t fine was that we paid for an hour ride and only got 40min. The horses weren’t wearing bridles just halters with rope... the horses don’t appear trained in this technique and therefore are not controllable except for one horse that appeared to be trained in his technique. Therefore cantering on a horse that was unable to be rein controlled was not an option. Several experienced riders on our ride told me they were also not feeling confident on their horse. My horse was blind in one eye and tired. Upon asking the owner for an adjustment of price to reflect the shorter ride, owner did not respond, I then asked again a week later to which the response was that we had a good hour ride. I’m very disappointed. We have done the Megalong all day ride before and numerous other trail rides with this place before and obviously customer satisfaction is not a priority. We wont be returning.

My partner and I went for a 5 hour ride last Friday at Centennial Stables. Not having ridden for nearly 20 years and being 50+ I was not expecting to be given a 15 year old ex race horse. Both of the horses we were given were horrible to ride. Danielle, the lovely young lady who took us for the endurance ride admitted that the horse I was on was awful to ride. Jim happily took the $400 and was nowhere to be seen on our return. After a 2 and a half hour ride to the tea house we were told a lot of guests do not attempt the return ride. I now know why. Disappointing to say the least. 🙁

The horses here are so thin and sick. One of them had tumours on either side of its head and its eyes were swollen. One was so thin that his entire spine and rib cage was visible. It's understandable that they use older horses because they're usually more calm and easier to ride for beginners but these horses were malnourished and not well cared for. We refused to ride them because it didn't feel right to do so. I hope they take note of this event and reconsider the way they care for these animals as they are obviously an essential part of the business. It's especially disappointing that we didn't go through with the ride because the Megalong valley is beautiful.
