West Sussex own vineyard. Highly recommend.
Such kind and caring staff. Extremely knowledgeable. We left early but Tom went out of his way to make sure we had our own wine tasting with a flight of six different wines, we were also given some beautiful cheeses to try. My husband for the first time ever had goats cheese and the Brighton blue. My husband now loves these, again thank you Tom I’ve tried for years to get him to try blue cheese.
Dear Caroline We are very glad to hear that your husband now enjoys blue cheese and thrilled that you enjoyed your time with us so much! Thank-you for taking the time to review us and we hope to see you both again soon. Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Superb winery and tour 🍾❤️
Fabulous tour of the Bolney Wine Estate. We went all in with the vineyard tour plus lunch and it was well worth it. Our guide Ian had exceptional knowledge of the winery, it's operation, and the industry in general. Very forthcoming and looked after us well! We were lucky to be the only 2 on the tour. Took 3 bottles home with us after lunch. The Rosé and Classic Cuvee are outstanding! All the other staff were really friendly, and the view from the terrace over the vineyard just stunning. We'll be back one day!
We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour and our sparkling wines so much. I will pass on your feedback to the tours team :) Thank-you for taking the time to let us know and we very much look forward to welcoming you back! Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Perfect stopover
Stopped off on way to Brighton from London. Very impressive service from Beth who made sure we sampled all the best wines. Not a full menu on Tuesdays but the sharing platters were tasty. Would recommend, especially on a Sunny Day.

    Fabulous place for lunch
What a great place on way to Brighton and we thought that a stop off to this place would be good for lunch. We where blown away the tasting wines where interesting and we played a little game between ourselves on what wine we liked best and we all choose the Chardonnay it was fantastic none of us usually drinks it.we took some home. And a big shout out to Beth she was so professional and knowledgeable about the estate. We will definitely go back and we have already been telling friends about it.
We are absolutely delighted to read your review of your afternoon with us and very pleased that Beth looked after you so well! Thank-you for taking the time to let us know and we look forward to you and your friends visiting us again. Best wishes from The Bolney Team

Lovely lunch and drinks for my 30th
My first time visiting after hearing great things. Myself my partner and our 3 year old son came for drinks and some food and we had a lovely enjoyable experience. We had the cheese board which was lovely with 2 wine flights which we enjoyed tasting. The staff were friendly welcoming and accommodating to our son, we sat outside to overlook the vineyard and even though it was raining it was still beautiful and we were covered by a large parasol. It is very child friendly yet still an adult experience. We will be returning 🥂
Dear Sophia It is lovely to read your review of the time that you spent with us! Thank-you for taking the time to write a review, we're very glad that you enjoyed your time with us and hope to welcome you all back soon. Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

Vineyard tour and wine tasting experience
Fantastic tour of vineyard and winery followed by wine tasting and charcuterie and cheese pairings. All local produce. Excellent hosts John and Alex. Very knowledgeable. Love the newly opened cafe and shop on ground level. Dog friendly cafe. So lucky to live nearby and benefit from this destination.

    Wine tasting and vineyard tour
As a retirement present we attended the ulimate wine tasting and tour. Weather was brilliant however the visit and tour were exceptional the tour guide Carol and her team looked after us for the afternoon. Their knowledge of the estate and wine making second to none and the wines we tasted were good especially the sparkling red wine. Well worth a visit to a well run friendly vineyard and winery
We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your tour with us and that Carol looked after you so well! Thank-you for your feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts and to share your experience. We hope to see you again! Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Fabulous Tour
What a lovely afternoon learning about and enjoying the wines of Bolney Estate. We booked the Ultimate Wine & Food tour and thought it was excellent. We arrived slightly early so the four of us enjoyed a bottle of the Bolney Rose Bubbles in the cosy cafe and then it was on to the main event. A glass of the cuvee was served whilst you learnt a little of the history of Bolney, then a tour of the vines and winery and finally a tasting of 5 further wines accompanied by a small meze dish (we all loved the Lynchgate Rose whilst the Cuvee Noir was ‘interesting’ but great to be able to try something different). Once the tasting is complete then it was time for a selection of cheeses and meats and you can order a bottle of whatever you enjoyed during the tasting (that one you pay extra for). Carol did a fantastic job of keeping us engaged and interested especially as the more the wine flowed the more animated we all became ! and Tao explained how wine is made during a wander through the vines and pitched it at exactly the right level whether this was your first ever wine tour or you are a seasoned professional - great job by both of them. I can’t recommend the tour enough and whilst it’s a bit of a trek for us I have no doubt we will be back. A wonderful afternoon.
Thank-you for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate it and are very happy to hear that Carol and Tao looked after you so well. We hope to see you again! Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Wonderful Wine Tour
The stunning location, perfect weather, delicious food and exceptional wines would have been enough to make it memorable, however Alex our tour guide, truly made the day exceptional. He struck the perfect balance between providing informative insights about the wines and the winemaking process and injecting humour into the tour. His jovial demeanour and friendly personality added to the relaxed ambiance of the day. Each wine was paired beautifully with local Sussex produce which really enhanced the experience. I would thoroughly recommend the Cheese and Wine tour, it’s the perfect gift idea for both wine connoisseurs and novices.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to us so much and I will pass your feedback onto Alex. Thank-you for taking the time to review us, it is greatly appreciated and we hope to welcome you here again! Best wishes from The Bolney Team

Wonderful place to visit & learn
Returned with a friend to celebrate her birthday after I had been taken a few months by another friend for mine. Although v early October we were blessed with a sunny day. All the fruit was nearly ready to harvest. When I visited in June fruit was just tiny pips on vine. We could see inside the business end in June but not in October. Guide was excellent. Amazing knowledge imparted to us and no hint of wine snobbery. Tasting foods paired with wines is excellent and platter for lunch v yummy. Shame the products sold on site aren’t as cheap as in Waitrose!

Originally booked an afternoon tea but changed to a gourmet meal at 1630. Lovely setting, shame we couldn't get a seat in the sun before the tour. Very interesting talk and tour by Zoe, good social distancing. Lucky it was a sunny day, made the vienyard look special. Started with some sparkling wine, then after the tour matched 6 wines with local cheeses, finishing with smoke smoked trout. Wines were good, but a bit pricey. Also had a nip of their gin and vermouth. Food wasn't bad, very nice mini cakes to finish with. A lovely way to spend a late summer afternoon.

Really awful friday evening wine tour /…
Really awful friday evening wine tour / tasting / food experience involving 6 of us for a special birthday. When we complained afterwards, the manager called back early the following week and dismissed our concerns out of hand…. Unbelievable….. The food was very mediocre and minimalistic, the room we were shepherded through to reminded me of a work conference room and felt very sterile, the opening words from the host was really poor (zero humour/zero charisma), the wine was good but the samples were minimalistic. Looking around the room towards the end of the evening, for which about 20 people each paid £65/ head - there was a general air of disappointment / expectations dashed. To top it all when I quietly requested some paracetomal (ended up in A&E later in the evening with suspected hernia / now operated on thankfully), I was told to drink more…. The whole evening was disappointing and felt like a hard sell to a captive audience of what is overpriced (but quite good quality) wine. We will never return

The team at Sussex Concierge wholeheartedly approve of Bolney, their produce, tours, food and experiences!

Bolney is a family run estate that produces some fabulous white, red and sparkling wines.
Our favourites are their Lychgate Red, Kew White, Bolney Bubbly and Kew Sparkling Rose.

Over the past year, we have sent several parties of guests over there, and all have loved the experience!

When there, the tour is a must. Their guides are incredibly knowledgeable, and can keep even the most novice of wine lovers entertained and interested throughout.

With such a diverse range of products, tastings are a must, and there is plenty to taste!
Make sure to ask your concierge to arrange transportation to and from the estate so you can enjoy it fully!

Whilst there, why not grab something to eat in the Eighteen Acre? The chefs at Bolney have created a stunning and diverse menu for you to enjoy with any of their wines whilst looking out on to the beautiful estate.

Wine, food and tours are all very reasonably priced. The Sussex Concierge team definitely feel this is an essential stop on any tour of the Sussex Wine Country!

Excellent and interesting guided tour of the vineyard and buildings. Our guide Zoe was extremely knowledgeable and made sure everyone was looked after whilst adhering to social distancing. A nice touch to have a glass of Bolney bubbly on arrival. Due to Covid restrictions I had to drive and called before to check whether alcohol free alternatives would be available and was assured they would, but unfortunately I had to pay for these as a extra despite not drinking the generous wine samples. This along with the ‘gourmet’ lunch box were disappointing. I had the vegetarian option which would have been nice enough but the houmous, falafels and crackers made for quite a dry meal. My husband was in his element however, and the wine samples were extremely generous. I was able to sample some of the wine when we got home after purchasing a few bottles to take home. The lesson being that the gourmet tour is probably not worth £45 unless you’re actually tasting the wine (and perhaps a meat eater) on the whole an excellent experience though and we will be returning in due course at some point when we can both enjoy the produce!

My husband and I came to Bolney wine estate for the wine tasting tour and to have Sunday roast after for my birthday.

We had the wonderful Eva as our wine tasting expert and guide. We came early March when the weather wasn't it's best, but with luck we had a great break in the weather and had a sunny guide along the vineyard. Eva was brilliant telling us all the history of the estate and of the vines you see around you.

The wine tasting was really good and would go again with friends as it's a great way to spend the morning! Even better when you have such a lovely host.

The Sunday roast, wow. Absolutely delicious and a huge thank you to the chefs who after a minor issue with my lamb, corrected it even when I wasn't expecting it to be. I was just giving a "heads-up". So that was very kind of them.

Even with the staff being rushed off their feet, everyone was very polite and service was quick but not made to feel rushed at all.

We will most definitely be returning and even if you can't make a tour, do go for the food. We didn't have breakfast, but heard it's amazing - so we will be back for that!

Thank you and see you soon!

Really good tour with extensive knowledge, tried 5 wines plus a taste of there home produced gin, and received a glass of there Bolney bubbly on arrival, weather just held off whilst in the vines so that was a bonus. The lunch box that was included on the tour looked disappointing when first arrived but was far better than it looked and was full of tasty morsels and was more than adequate, the dessert plate however was disappointing though with 3 measly portions on it that wound not equate to even a single portion of dessert, The tour letter we received clearly stated that a two course buffet lunch is included but due to covid they are operating with a lunch box in place of a buffet lunch which makes it easy to comply with the covid restrictions. Overall we had a pleasant time and was a nice trip out

We visited several vineyards on a two day drive around West Sussex and Bolney was the stand out for venue, wine and service. The visitor centre is right among the vines and has a fabulous outdoor balcony as well as spacious cafe serving imaginative dishes from an open kitchen. The Blanc de Blancs was our favourite Sussex wine, it’s delicious. We had great service with the tasting and buying experience from a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable & helpful estate family member. Overall, it was a really good experience and will live on through the stash of wine we brought home.

We had a fantastic and very informative tour / experience at Bolney Wine Estate, enjoying the wine tasting with food pairings. Everything is locally produced and the pairings where a perfect match.

Alex was the star of the show! He provided an extremely well balanced, informative tour and talk about the end to end process from growing the vines, crushing the grapes right through to the glass! He perfectly blended the facts with just the right amount of humour and I could not recommend him more highly. Ian also played a key role on the day and clearly also knew his wines extremely well and they delivered a great talk on both the wines and lovely food.

Many thanks guys and we will definitely recommend your tour to our friends!

My Partner and I did a virtual wine tasting tour with Bolney last Saturday. They sent us a bottle of their English sparkling, a sparkling rose and their Pinot Noir. After a bit of an issue getting on the Zoom call we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Helen Chesshire was excellent and not only knew about the wines but kept the conversation flowing and was a great host. For lockdown entertainment, it was super fun and would recommend.
