My son is a regular visitor to The Base ( even on Xmas day). It's a great social place for kids/ young adults to go and burn off some energy, socialise and learn new moves on their scooters. The staff are friendly and welcoming and have a good rapport with the young people. The cafe overlooking the ramps is a grear addition and they serve good coffee and cake!!!

The Base was a long awaited and much needed attraction especially for the local youth of Bognor where they can enjoy BMX-ing, roller blades and scooters in a safe, under cover area which is well supervised. I have read some negative things about it but wherever you go there will be some that spoil it for others and it should not put you off a visit to judge for yourself. My grandson loves it and spends many hours there with his friends. I was shopping locally and popped into the cafe inside to see for myself and was certainly impressed by it. I sincerely hope that people will give it their support so that it can survive and remain somewhere for the youngsters to have fun, off the streets and supervised.

Made us feel really welcome, and took a genuine interest in his skating, offering some great advice . Awesome ramps, recommend to anyone interested in skateboarding, bmx or scooter. Saw some really awesome tricks ...

Why is it ok for some people to ride metal pegs in your park? You cant have a rule for one and not the other no matter who they are!!! Oh and please realise that scooters will cause more damage than metal pegs!

So we took our nephews and nieces here on a rainy day while visiting from Newcastle. It's clean very well thought layout and the few kids there was having fun. Quite polite to each other we attended on a school day ! So it was perfect. Until we got outside listening to the teenagers swear smoke and taking the Micky out of a large teenager who was close to tears. I understand that this can not be helped outside yet it clearly was uncalled for. The lads smoking was around 14 years old on there scooters not a good image for this brand....

I have been to many skateparks. Base is a great place for bmx's and scooters that seem to glide along nicely. For skateboards however its the complete opposite the floor is very slippery and I have heard this from nearly all the skaters who have been there so its not my wheels. The park is quite cramped and most of the obstacles are big and suit scooters, bikes and blades where you are attached to the object and you can get air whereas with a skateboard unless you are pro you cant unitise the transitions. The park doesn't have enough street area and everyone seems to get in the way even the parents who stand in the middle of the park dispite the area upstairs that has sofas for them to watch the whole park. Out if the hour or so in their I only got around 20 minutes of skating due to how cramped it was and the way the layout joins its very easy to collide with an oncoming person with plenty of shape turns and blind areas. Personally I wouldn't recommend skaters to go even if it was quite as its still very slippery and even doing something like a 180 or rock n roll you feel like you are skating on a ramp of ice.

I thought that the some staff were incredibly rude. A reconsideration of staff might be nessacery. Despite this, the members of staff from the Cafe area were ever so polite.
