Lovely park, especially for kids
Jul 2021
2 separate play areas for different ages, good crazy golf, miniature railway which is good value, nice clean toilets, looks like a nice cafe although we didn't use it, lots of Alice in Wonderland features - great for children.
Reasonably priced parking, but also walkable distance from the town centre or beach.

A Relaxing Place To Visit
Jul 2021
On the outskirts of Bognor this park is very pleasant with a large cafe and an excellent crazy golf course. It also has a miniature railway and a boating lake but both were closed on the afternoon of our visit. However, we walked around the main pathways and saw a few squirrels. A very pleasant place for a short visit.

Small But Worth A Visit.
Jun 2021
About a ten-minute drive from the Beachcroft Hotel is Hotham Park. This was, at one time, the home of Sir Richard Hotham the founder of Bognor as a seaside resort.
The Park is compact but well laid out with a small boating lake (for model boats rather than the real thing).
The many paths wind around a huge and varied collection of mature trees. The grass is undulating with lots of hillocks for children and dogs to run up and down.
There is a second pond which, although dry at the moment, is used as a conservation area. This is allowed to run wild and is fenced in with access through several gates. This is specifically to keep out the many dogs that are walked here on a daily basis. I believe that when the pond is wet it is home to a few ducks.
For those of you who, like us, enjoy feeding the wildlife there are birds aplenty including a large flock (60+) of crows. There are also quite a few friendly squirrels that will sit at your feet if they feel you have something to offer. We took small bags of almonds and walnuts which they happily accepted. We were unable to find salt free peanuts.
Add to this a really nice cafe and you have the perfect place for all ages to visit.
The cafe is quite large with both inside and outside seating for about 70 or so visitors.
Apart from some excellent cakes they offer a variety of foods and even have a pizza oven which was very busy when we were there.
We topped off our visit with coffee and cake. Lemon drizzle for Jean and a lovely moist slice of carrot cake for me.
A really lovely park. We will most certainly be back.

Not great anymore
Jan 2021 • Friends
This park used to be lovely. But now it is starting To look and feel rather unkempt. The play park is good but often broken and lots of teens hang around intimidating the younger children. In the main park itself there are loads of dogs off leads without much control from owners (think mess and jumping up at people), there are groups of “undesirable” people hanging around and a strong smell of a certain drug frequents the air.

Great place for breakfast
Oct 2020
Our dog Millie drags us in for breakfast at every opportunity. She particularly likes the sausages as I do so it all ends up with unseemly squabbling and we're politely asked to leave. Good staff. Menu a bit limited at other times.

Lovely free open space to walk through all year round or just to remain for a while. Excellent for dog walkers, strollers or just to ponder
